Today after church my 85 year old mom stopped by there and spent $40 on 2 Large catfish dinners. When she got home. It not catfish it’s swai a much cheaper fish.

I called and ask why are they selling Swai for Catfish. As you can see in my pictures my mom bout a whole case of swai they buy for whole sale!

They come into our community and give us anything and rip us off!

I’m calling the city on them! Stop buying from them ! And if you go to another restaurant only buy steak.

Plus I calling the News to put a special on them. Be on the look out!

Ordered food to-go. It was prepared and packaged well for the road. I ordered the pick 3 combo (wings, catfish nuggets and gizzards) and a side of fries. Gizzards was a bit too salty for me. Didn’t taste much meat with the catfish nuggets. More crust on them than meat for sure. Wings and fries were good. Service was pleasant.

A friend of mine had turned 100 years old a couple weeks ago. He don’t really get out and go shopping no more because he don’t drive. Also he doesn’t like to depend on other people. I just so happy to call him to see how he was doing. He just wanted to get out the house and see how the world was going on. And he was talking about he wanted some fish he couldn’t remember the name of the fish place. But he knew it was red and white. It was a no-brainer that he was talking about J&J Fish in Oak Park. Took him over there and they had a full menu of Fish and Chicken and gizzards and mac and cheese. Even I was surprised about the mac and cheese. This gentleman behind the counter was very helpful with my friend and me. The food was great.

Usually I have pretty good reviews about places I’ve eaten or have had take out from. Although, I’ve never had a bad time with this particular J & J, today was very much different. I just called this location to place an order for pick up and the young lady that answered the phone was extremely rude! I asked if I could place an order for pick up. She just slammed the phone down in my ear and hung up on me! When I called back, no one’s answering the phone now! SUPER RUDE!! I’ll call another location for my order. I’m done with J & J Oak Park!
