Came down to Margate for a long weekend/stayed in a local Airbnb & host recommended to us to try this place…
The wife being Italian, and it being dog friendly we thought we’d see how the place was for dinner…
They managed to squeeze us in early which suited us as they had a big party coming later on in evening. We were in a private room at the end of the restaurant, which was perfect with our dog.
The young waitress gave us menus and was back shortly after to take the order, as when we arrived there was no one else in the restaurant.
Went for the anti-pasta style entree served on a small side plate, which was tasty and shared with the my wife. She enjoyed the pumpkin on plate.
Order two plates of pasta, again fairly tasty and a wine for the entree and wine for the main course.
Tiramisu for dessert.
Overall, the food was to a high standard and the service good.
The bill was £90 for dinner. Which wasn’t too bad compared to what it would cost in London…..
The restaurant is in the old market area so good location and has a sister restaurant a couple of doors up which is a wine bar style place. Which would be good to try next time we were down in Margate.

A gorgeous family run restaurant with seasonal, Italian food at its heart. I love that they incorporate local producers where possible in the food they serve, it’s a nice little nod to the restaurant’s British home.
This meal was a few months ago and I forgot to leave my review however, I highly recommend it and still think regularly about the torta caprese (chocolate cake) with sour cherries and crème fraîche. It was fabulous. Out of the two pastas we ordered, the slow cooked pork sausage ragu was our favourite. It was super meaty and unctuous.
Did I mention that the pasta is homemade and they use grains grown in Kent?! Lovely stuff.
I’m going back again soon and cannot wait!

Pure magic. This place blew me away – not even sure where to start.
Food-wise both their wet cured beef with parmesan and the home cured coppa was melt-in-the-mouth perfect, the ziti was hearty heaven, the verdura e fagioli was a proper ratatouille moment…i want to learn to cook like that! Every plate felt so carefully and lovingly calibrated. And then the tiramisu was so gorgeously pillowy and balanced – no element jumping out too sharply – i could have eaten two of them.
The service staff were also so attentive and dialled in too – they seemed to adjust their approach cleverly per table (we were eating casually without much plan – but I could see other tables having a more classic traditional a la carte starter, main, dessert etc…they managed both with ease). Mimi and Lily were clearly run off their feet but they handled it with such grace – and they/the kitchen staff were having fun together! They created such a beautiful atmosphere in that room. Exquisite – how eating out should be.

I had lunch at this restaurant and everything was absolutely delicious. I started with a mozzarella di bufala served with vignarola — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Then I had ziti al ragù di salsiccia, perfectly cooked, hearty, and comforting. To finish, a light and delicious tiramisu, easily one of the best I’ve ever had.
Despite the restaurant being very busy, the service remained friendly, attentive, and efficient. You can feel real passion both in the kitchen and in the dining room. A warm and welcoming place where I can’t wait to return!

Such a gorgeous restaurant. We managed to squeeze in with no reservation and were so glad to have eaten here. The beef ragù and tiramisu were 10/10. Would eat again.

Another fabulous meal courtesy of Simona, Harry and the team. Shout out to Mimi, attentive on the service as ever. The ‘beans and greens’ were as tasty as ever, nicely spiced. Our two pasta mains were amazing – very differently flavoursome – and these guys take ‘al dente’ to a different level! All washed down with glasses of highly sympatico, specially sourced, organic wine. I’d actually booked lunch for the wrong day – they were full, but Harry kindly found us a table ‘al fresco’, which turned out to be a very pleasant sun trap… even in March! Well worth the 750 mile road trip from the French-Spanish border. Grazie, e arrivederci !

We stumbled upon this lovely Italian and decided to eat here as it was the first time we had *ever* seen ziti on the menu, of Sopranos fame! We’ve been cooking it at home for years but it was a treat to taste how it is supposed to be made. We got on well with the staff – very attentive and friendly. They also sold this delicious alcohol-free bitter orange drink called Crodino that I couldn’t get enough off. Topped off with refreshing sorbet in the sun… couldn’t ask for more.

I came yesterday with my girlfriend, absolutely delicious food. The service was great, bother the waiter and waitress were very attentive and polite. I thought it was very reasonably priced for lovely fresh food, however for what was supposed to be around £75 I was very shocked when the bill turned up and it came to £100. I know it’s normal procedure for restaurants to have a service charge, something I’m happy to pay, but when an extra £15 is added on in VAT on the bill it is very disappointing, something that isn’t disclosed on the website. Overall the food and service is brilliant, just a shame these extra undisclosed costs leave a minor sour taste in my mouth.

We were lucky to grab lunch here before we left Margate and are so glad we did. The food is really gorgeous. I love how it’s seasonal so you’ll never get the same thing twice if you go at another time of year. Everything was fresh and beautifully seasoned. The service was lovely. It was a gorgeous way to end our stay. Thank you!

We visited this restaurant because it was featured in the Michelin Guide. The anchovies with garlic and herbs were delicious, and the cod sashimi with chili was a unique and memorable first-time experience for us. Both the napolitan penne and mussel and aubergine spaghetti were full of flavour, though a little on the salty side—perhaps intended to be paired with wine. The homemade pasta had great flavour, although it was slightly chewier than expected. Tiramisu was Devine!! Prices were a bit high, but reasonable given the quality of ingredients and craftsmanship. The wine selection was also excellent.
