VERY kind & helpful staff but unfortunately, bad food especially at the prices. This may be an off-season issue, but I wish that we had ventured out somewhere else. I probably should’ve known better once I saw the kitchen set up. If you have a picky kid, they probably are not going to eat these chicken tenders and my fish tacos tasted really fishy & old. Three microwaved fish tacos with chips plus three chicken tenders with a cookie was $29 after tax.

Restaurant with great atmosphere but average food and drinks. They claim to specialize in margaritas but the margaritas leave more to be desired and definitely aren’t the best ones I had in Virginia Beach so don’t appreciate the false advertisement. Rum runner was nice and fruity but definitely watered down, just like the margarita. For fruit platter usually fruits are brought out cut up but they brought whole pieces of fruit out, which is a bit unusual, plus they weren’t the freshest. Boneless wings looked and tasted like they were bought in frozen aisle of your local grocery store and paying $15 for them is absurd. Chips definitely were bought from grocery store cheapest ones and salsa also. They had one server working so service was a bit slow but it isn’t her fault, she still checked in and took our order. In total, ok but definitely not a place I would come again

Worked in restaurants for years and my wife has been a server and manager for over 30 years. Very weird experience here. We ordered nachos and waited over an hour. Server was totally clueless. Never eat there you will be sorry you did.

This place definitely has a great atmosphere with its boardwalk view, fire pits, outdoor seating, and live music. Unfortunately, that’s about all it has going for it. The drinks were overpriced and very weak, and the food wasn’t much better—$18 for an 8-piece order of wings felt excessive. My recommendation would be to head over to Lager and Head instead. Not only are the drinks much stronger and worth the price, but the $17 loaded nachos are so filling you don’t even need an entrée. In my opinion, don’t let the appealing look of Tortugas fool you—the vibe doesn’t make up for the lack of quality or value.

Not a great experience! Ate here a few times last summer and enjoyed it. Not a fan of the retooled menu! The tacos were adequate at best. The sauce overpowered the meat and pico de gallo.
Service was slow. Sat at a table for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Several waitresses looked our way, but not one came over. After watching them take orders for the tables around who’d arrived after we did, I finally called out to the manager. A waitress standing right next to us walked over.
Kids menu pretty dismal. $10 for a bowl of Kraft Mac & Cheese and side of fruit. We get beach prices and all, but that’s a little obnoxious.

We finally found a tiki bar and had the best time. Our waitress Raven was awesome. We only had drinks and they were pretty good and not too pricy. I enjoyed my time and the ambiance was great.

This place is absolutely a great place right on the beach. Jordan our server was so friendly and lights the place up with her personality. She had great recommendations and pointed us to the tacos which were phenomenal. Great customer service. Love IT

Went there for lunch. They are out of draft beer and that’s why we went there. We left. Then went back for dinner @ 6:30 pm. They was beef. It was very windy. The fire pit was on when was there at lunch time. But at dinner time they had to find somebody to turn it on and nobody ever turned it on. We got our food @ 7:20. My husband had two drinks dirty banana $15 each. Pork nachos $24 n chicken burrito $19.
