J Holt’s did NOT disappoint! My husband and I have only been there once before today. Our first experience was great with great food and they did it again. The service was great. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend giving them a try if you havent. We got the cheese curds for an appetizer. Then we shared the pork fries and sausage plate. Thank you!!!

We’ve been trying to find good BBQ since we moved to GA 3 years ago. It has really been disappointing until today. Everything we tried was delicious, well made, and full of flavor. The service was great, the meals were good size and came out quick, and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy. Good variety of meats and sides. The brunswick stew & collard greens are the best I’ve ever tasted.

We were in Newnan last week checking out some houses. At some point I was like “hey, I’m starting to get hungry, whut about you”? My husband did not disappoint, he was like, “You pick” (really, I should have known.. don’t know why I was surprised by his response!!
Anyway, the closest thing to us was joynt called J Holts Smokehouse. So, off we went.. We both ordered brisket Sammies and a drink. (There were 3 kids working, and they were pretty nice). They were still cooking the baked beans as we were placing our order, and they came up pretty quickly, and “scalding hot”!
The sammie was pretty good, but it would have been excellent if there had been more smoke in it, & second, I wasn’t even close to full after eating it. My husband said same. I feel like the sammie was fairly small for the price.
The restaurant appeared quite small, judging it from the outside, but in truth it’s really, really big, with lots of Knick-Knacks all over the walls.
There’s nothing outstanding about the restaurant, which is why I rated “atmosphere” 3 stars.

First visit. We had dropped by before they opened. I’m happy to see that they have several reviews already. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich. My wife ordered the Chopped Chicken Sandwich with Mac and Cheese. The food was freshly prepared. When we picked up our plates, they offered additional sauce. It was not needed. They put enough on the sandwiches to suffice. My wife’s only complaint was the unisex bathroom. The food was well-flavored. We will return in the future. This location is highly recommended!

Wow! Everything our family chose to eat for lunch was fantastic! Pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, Brunswick stew, coleslaw, Mac n cheese, and baked beans! It was fresh, cooked perfectly, portions were plentiful and it just was amazing! I highly recommend giving JHolts Smokehouse a try. You won’t regret it!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! My husband and I have been looking for the best wings in Coweta County, and we found them!! Ordered 10 smoked wings with coleslaw (perfect) and carolina bbq sauce (always our favorite and the best we’ve had!). Fries were also delicious!

Very good food. Employees were very kind, and the chicken on my sandwich was very tender, and the sauce and seasoning made it very flavorful. Mac and cheese was excellent, some of the best I’ve had. My dad’s pulled pork sandwich was also “damn good.” Would love to come back here

We just moved near this area and we decided this will be our recurring spot to come with our family. Great Family Atmosphere! It was nice, we were greeted with a big Smile! Menu is right on a big board easy to read.
My 3 kids loved the brisket and pulled chicken, husband loves their pork nachos. Portions are average and their barbecue sauce is the bomb!
