There was a lengthy wait for the dining area, so we sat at the bar area and were seated immediately. We had a great dining experience being served by Dee. She was friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. We ordered several different items, including a French onion soup to start. It was delicious and filling. For dinner entrees, we ordered the North Carolina rainbow trout, the fish and chips, the bourbon pecan encrusted chicken and a Gorgonzola cheese salad. We honestly had no complaints about any of the food. The rainbow trout was particularly delicious with the added sweet tomato jam. The salad dressing was excellent. And the fish and chips was crisp and fresh. Next time, we will have to try one of their steaks! Overall, we had an excellent dinner experience and will be back again.

I had my bachelorette trip to Maggie Valley this weekend where we visited J Arthur’s on Saturday night. Hailey was our server and fit right in with our group of shenanigans! She provided great service and laughs with us! Food was phenomenal and we will be back in the future!

Seems to be mixed reviews but my meal was great. I had filet with baked potato and a salad. Definitely nothing to complain about.

This was our birthday dinner this past Sunday. My steak Gorgonzola pasta special was outstanding! Where this restaurant could up its game is with the salad that accompanied my pasta dish. It was iceberg lettuce, tomato (which was the highlight of the salad), buttery croutons and a ranch dressing that sorely lacked flavor. My husband’s full rack of ribs was also outstanding and a huge serving (the photo is 1/2 rack). The other 1/2 rack Jerry boxed up for us. Jerry, our server, was friendly and very efficient. Excellent service from Jerry! We would definitely eat here again.

Headed out of Cherokee late one night…. we had some locals tell us in the past to go to J Arthur’s and try it we would like it…. so we did!! Rolling in 40 minutes before the closed and were they right!! Heck yes!!! Everything was great just like it was tge middle of the day. Not left over dried out food neither. Steak cooked to perfection and the seasoning was DELICIOUS!! Thank you J Arthurs!! Great food we will be back! Clean restaurant, lots of seating and waitresses were very friendly and helpful!

The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. The large portioned Prime Rib was one of the toughest cuts I think I have ever had in my life! I ordered it medium and it was medium, but it was tough,tough,tough! I would have to blame it on the quality of the meat itself. It looked good on the plate but was not what I had expected.
We drove up from Asheville just to try the Prime Rib.

Great place! Nice atmosphere, service, and food. I had a piece of cheesecake and a coffee. The server was very helpful in recommending the type of cheesecake to order (there’s an entire menu just for cheesecake)!

Delicious!! Fast!! Wonderful wait staff!! Such a great experience. The food is delicious. Definitely get their cheese sticks, you don’t want to miss out on trying them. The marinara is sweet!! The waitress let us know that up front! Just be prepared, it’s really sweet! But the sticks are some of the best I have ever had.
Cheese burger & FF: burger cooked perfectly as ordered, large portion sizes.
Hamburger steak with gravy: simple but flavorful and well prepared
Chicken Parm: same marinara as the cheese sticks, so it’s sweet! If you prefer salty sauce, this is not for you. But it’s very tasty, well cooked, chicken parm had a great flavor

Unfortunately, our experience at this place wasn’t very pleasant. I was on vacation in Maggie Valley, arrived on Thanksgiving night, and didn’t have many options for where to eat. We went to this place, but unfortunately, there was only one set menu with just one option.
There was no children’s menu.
And the price was unrealistic.
Not to mention the quality and presentation of the food.
The place itself is very beautiful, with a family atmosphere, and the person who served us was very friendly.

Very nice place, but a much smaller menu than one would think they’d have. The steaks were delicious, the loaded baked potato was good, the mashed potatoes were not so great – tasted like they were straight from a box, no seasoning really. The side salads looked sad 🙁 no cheese, just some cut up iceberg with 3 slices of onions and a huge tomato wedge, a couple croutons. The italian dressing was naked, didn’t dress for the occasion at all. The bread was ok, but a little dry and hard, the cheese sticks were GREAT! Sweet tea wasn’t so sweet, which is expected. The service was great though, our waiter was nice and stayed on top of us the entire time to make sure we were ok. We were seated quickly despite it saying online that reservations are recommended. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. We would definitely go here again, but we would choose a few different things off the menu.
