I felt for something very american coming all the day from Middle East! And it was a very warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and great food! Our company of four was seated inside one of cozy cabins. We ordered NY steaks and skirt steaks. The meat was cooked just OK, though the one of friend’s steaks was closer to well-done than to medium rare. The wine selection appeared extensive. We found the side dishes delicious. Overall, the plates were large, so we could hardly think of any dessert. The service was efficient and timely.

As a party of 5, we had an amazing dinner experience. The 3 appetizers were the best – calamari, fried oysters, & mussels. The prime rib & filet mignon were so good. Pork chop was just ok. Salmon was excellent. Cocktails were good. Almost forgot about the sourdough breads, yummy. All the sides were great & abundance. Service was top notch. We ate outside on the sidewalk, did notice some mosquitoes later in the meal.

This restaurant is beautiful. The food was amazing, there could have been a less balsamic on the brussel sprouts but the prime rib was fantastic. Was celebrating my birthday brought me out ice cream and sang. Really had an overall good time.

I almost hate to give a great review as we want to keep Izzy’s to ourselves. However, Izzy’s is still popular with SF tourists and locals. This is a lively, classic San Francisco environment for cocktails, steaks and chops. They’ve done something to their famous scalloped potatoes that makes them better than ever. If you’re looking for your neighborhood bar or a special occasion Izzy’s is your place.

Hmm I love the fillet mignon, it was cooked perfectly, thank god because it is very expensive. The wait is very long on a weekend dinner time. The restaurant is extremely noisy (indoor), with large groups of customers talking very loudly. I can’t even hear my bf who is right in front of me. Felt like a bar more than a steak house or probably the most rowdy steak house I’ve ever been to. I probably wouldn’t want to pay so much to dine in a bar again.

As always I had a great time and meal. Our server was brilliant! Usually have to go alone but had a friend visiting and showed him may favorite steakhouse. He too was very impressed. Always go for may birthday dinner at Christmas and any time that I can find the time. I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED BY THE FOOD OR SERVICE.
