Pizza is outstanding and my girls (ages 7 and 9) had a blast with the duckpin bowling!
They’ll be carrying more craft beer from local breweries soon and even brewing their own, which is always a great thing.
It’s a bit loud over by the bowling but other than that we had zero complaints! Do yourself a favor and go check it out!
If I had one recommendation, I think a menu that you could fill out to give to your server (like they do at Barnaby’s) could be helpful. We all had a hard time hearing each other and that could be helpful? Just a thought!

We saw this place opened recently and wanted to try it out. We’ve never duckpin bowled before. We went there for the first time on an early Friday afternoon. This was a holiday week, so busy time of year, kids out of school and most adults not quite back to work after the Holidays.
They have a bar, restaurant area and about 10 Duckpin Bowling lanes with a couple arcade games.
Arrived a bit after 3pm. The front desk seemed overwhelmed. It wasn’t even the Hostess that helped us, it was another employee who saw us waiting at the door as the Hostess was on the phone. He initially told us there was a lane opening up soon (Approx. 7min), so we waited it out. Only waited about 10-15 minutes, rightfully so because we didn’t have reservations. The lady working the front Hostess booth was on the phone almost the entire 10-15 minutes we waited because there is not yet a way to make reservations online. So phone lines are currently the only way to make lane reservations. Which, I HIGHLY recommend! I feel like we got very lucky in getting a duckpin bowling lane being walk-ins.
When the Hostess got a break off the phone, we were still waiting for our lane, she asked us if she could help us. My husband stated someone helped us already and that a lane was opening up soon and we were waiting. She indicated there wasn’t anything opening up until later. Thankfully the employee that helped us came back and was able to use her computer to book us in a lane in their system and explained the lane would be ready soon, which it was. He was on point with timing of readiness of the lane.
Posting pictures of the menu because we didn’t see any online before today. We just knew they had pizza and some select other appetizer items mentioned on other reviews and didn’t know what they had on tap or the specality cocktails available.
A previous reviewer mentioned $10 beer cans and as you can see by the beer menu, the only $9 beers were specailty like Belles, Goatfish and a Ginger beer. Domestic ran at $6 and these were not 12oz cans, they were the 16-18oz tall cans, which $6 is a reasonable price for a domestic tall can of beer at a bar.
We only ordered pizza and we found it to be very good. We ordered a regular 12′ ‘Feel the Heat’ and a kids 8′ pepperoni, which turned out to be almost the size of the 12in. Service was excellent! The waitress, Nikole was very attentive while she was very busy, she stopped almost everytime she passed asking if we needed anything and was observent to queues. When it was time to pay, she took the time to go over a breakdown of our bill instead of just handing us a tablet.
The duckpin bowling was fun! We had a great time.
Overall, 4 stars, would give 4.5 if I could. Service was good, waitress definitely 5 stars, but freeing the Hostess from the phone to greet people as they come in the door to be seated could use improvement. Food was excellent but we only ordered pizza. Atmosphere was excellent, everyone seemed to be having a good time. Very family-friendly.

If you have the time, sit back and read the tale of our demise at this South Bend local. This is a long and detailed review. So grab your popcorn.
Four of us arrived on a Saturday around 6:30pm. It took a few minutes for us to be greeted. The hostess, who was in pajamas, informed us that all of the duck pin bowling lanes were booked for the night, so we stayed to try the food. Even though there were multiple open tables, she sat us at a dirty table extremely close to everyone else seated.
After a few minutes, the server brought us menus. She returned a bit later with our waters and took our order. We ordered a beer, an iced tea, two 8″ pizzas (feel the heat and pierogi) and one 12″ pizza (build your own). This is where things really went sour.
It had been over an hour, and we had yet to receive the beer and iced tea that we had ordered. During this time, our server stopped by our table only once, and we asked her about it. She said they would be right out. That did not happen. At this point, we were ready to leave, but flagged down the waitress to see if our food had already started being made (if it was already in the oven, we would see it through). She said she would check. Shortly after, the beer was brought to our table, but not the iced tea. A few minutes later, the waitress stopped by with an iced tea in hand, to tell us that the pizzas were in the oven and almost done. She did not leave the iced tea…. A few minutes later, one of the owners stopped by and asked us how things were going and we told him our experience thus far. He said he would check on our food. Shortly after, he brought out our pizzas and apologized for the wait. Our silverware was placed bare, directly on the dirty table. Without napkins.
The pizzas came to our table slightly warm… indicating they actually had been done for some time and sitting. They were average tasting at best. Somewhat bland. The toppings were used sparingly. Any chain restaurant could provide better. Hell, DiGiorno is better. And the price??? These small pizzas were between $12 and $18. Despite ordering two 8″ and one 12″, they were all different sizes. One of our 8″ pizzas was bigger than the one that was supposed to be 12″.
We waved someone down to get our bill as fast as possible once we had finished. The waitress was so kind to inform us that we would not be charged for the iced tea, as it never came. The owner never tried to make anything right, fully knowing our experience. All in all, we spent over 2 hours here, mostly just waiting. We left with a horrible taste in our mouths for Ivy Alley, vowing never to return. And ready to give a cautionary tale to any others who mention her name. I can easily say it was one of the top five worst dining experiences of my life.
Atmosphere: Chaotic. There is no cohesive design. A strange mix of industrial with “live laugh love” decor that someone’s mom felt the need to add. The lighting is extremely bright. Almost uncomfortably bright. There is some artwork with small cards, I’m assuming giving information about the pieces, but they are hung so high that you cannot read them.
Staff: There is no dress code. It was difficult to tell who was actually working there. Apparently, everyone wears whatever they want. Even the owner startled me at first because I thought he was a rando. Professionalism was absent. There was obviously no communication between the staff. The two bartenders were not very busy. Which is why I found it odd that it took an hour for the beer (canned) to make it to our table. The hostess did nothing other than seat people at dirty tables and sit on her phone. Our waitress was very kind but seemed stressed and new to serving, so I will give her some grace.
I wish Ivy Alley the best. I hope they can figure out how to serve their audience well. I hope that in a year or two, I can come back and they will have a thriving business. They just opened and it was amazing! Great atmosphere, space is broken up perfectly! The cocktails were amazing. We had the social house old fashioned and the espresso martini, both were flavorful not too strong and not too weak. We are excited to try the food next time we are here!

Gave it a try, for an early weeknight dinner. Good first impression. Great space, rock solid service. We tried the Burnt & Blu, and a small Pizza (CBR, I think?). Both were really good. Only “miss” was the side Caesar salad, dressing just wasn’t very good. Tried one of the in house brews, which was surprisingly good. Didn’t try the duckpin, but since this visit was good…we’ll be back with friends.

Went with a large group (4 families/~20 people) for a birthday/holiday celebration and had an absolute blast! Mercedes waited on the entire group and was amazing. We ordered a number of the pizzas, apps, and cocktails – all were great. The duckpin bowling was so much fun!! Every employee we encountered went out of their way to make our experience perfect. Will absolutely be back!

Ivy Alley was very fun. The building is clean, organized and safe. The pretzel charcuterie was fun and different. And duckpin bowling was a blast for all ages. BUT the drinks are super pricey, for everything. For example, a White Claw, found at any bar is $8, for a single, regular can. Comparatively, they are $5 most other places. It’s also pretty loud if you are having dinner anywhere else in the restaurant. Some sound dampening anything would help. Lastly, when we finished, a few other lanes did too as we all had the same start time. The waitress was checking each lane out in order of completion, great. As I was waiting our turn to pay the manager came over and asked us to move to a table if we wanted to stay as the lane was booked. I mentioned I was waiting to pay and then planned on leaving. Instead of helping he went over to the waitress, looked over her shoulder and proceeded to do nothing.

Went late night Saturday with a group (10) for bowling and food.
Duck bowling is a good time. Bice and causal for kids and old folks alike.
The food was good and our waitress was very nice.
I can only speculate on the service systems they have in place
But food and drinks took a long time to come out, and came out at inconsistent times.
Soda took 15mins to come out and alcohol took over a half hour.
The first wave of food came out and EVERY dish was missing sauce. Salads with no dressing or sandwiches with no bbq etc.
My pizza took 45mins to come out and the person next to me had a pizza take over an hour to come out.
They have a lot of potential but there are just too many inconsistencies with food/drink timing.
