This used to be my favorite place for takeout. I’ve been going to Italian Street for over 5 years, and while I’ve always felt it to be on the pricey side, I never minded spending more for excellent quality food, which it always had been. Sadly, it has consistently been going downhill for the past 6 months or so. The food was not very good tonight. I spent $15+ on a tuna hoagie that barely had any tuna on it. Just look at the pictures. A schmear of tuna salad at best. The roll was supposed to be an Atlantic City hard roll, which it wasn’t, and the tuna had a metallic after taste. The shredded lettuce on top seemed fresh, but that wasn’t enough to redeem this sandwich. We also got a cheese steak stromboli, which is one of my go-to Italian Street orders. In the past, the top used to have a delicious buttery garlicky glaze, which it was missing tonight. And just like my sandwich, there just wasn’t much filling. Again, I love eating out, and I’ve never had a problem paying more for great food, but tonight’s food was not good. I’m sad to not only have had a disappointing dinner, but moreso to have to find another go-to pizza take-out joint in an area that I consider to be lacking in this department.

Really nice staff. Ordered a nona’s pie with sausage, well done. Came out hot. Upon eating, flavors were good, however, sausage was clumped and the pie was mushy. Very wet and sloppy. Am used to a thin crust nona pie almost like a flat bread. Even asked for it to be well done to hopefully receive it crisp. Didn’t happen. Shame, had a good taste, but too mushy. Really don’t understand why sausage was clumped and too much sauce to make it soupy. Had to eat it with a fork, unable to pick up a slice.

My family and I stayed in Somers point Nj came to eat dinner the food is delicious the atmosphere is great the service is great. I recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian food brick oven pizza cheese steaks wings fries all the above.

Had delivery from Italian Street Restaurant & Pizza twice while we have been at the shore. Food always arrived hot which was exceptional given how far the delivery was. The Sicilian crust pizza is superb. No need to add sauce or cheese however. The caprese salad was good but the added grilled shrimp that was added did not particularly elevate the dish since they were not well grilled. The cannoli was crispy and tasted great.

The food is always so good, no matter what you are eating, from the salads to the pizza, esp their nona or bruschetta, to their Italian hoagies. Their prices are pretty decent as well. The staff is very friendly and always there to welcome you in with a big bright smile even if it’s for takeout or dine in. I highly recommend them. 🙂

This is my favorite place in Somers point, everyone that works there makes you feel like family. And the pizza is THE BEST I’ve ever had. It doesn’t even matter what kind, it’s all good! The atmosphere is always warm, and inviting. This place is a small hidden gem in Somers point.

I order solely online for delivery. We’ve dined in several times in the past, but I prefer eating at home. Anyway, their food is generally good, with my wife’s favorite being the Grandma’s artichoke pizza. Really unique. Stromboli is great, and I usually order that.

Amazing pizza, tastes like NYC thin crust pie. Very flavorful sauce and the cheese had great taste too. They have a full menu also. I highly recommend Italian Street!
