Our experience getting take-out at The Italian Restaurant in Pineola was excellent. My call to place my order was picked up right away by a cheerful and professional hostess. I arrived at the restaurant early and employees were super nice. No less than two of them offered me a drink while I sat at the bar. The co-owner, Greg, thanked me for coming and chatted with me. Very nice!

I get to Newland about once a month. This is one of my favorite places. First, the service is always awesome. I think Friday night our waitresses name was Ginger. We had a larger party and we all commented she never let our drinks get empty. She was cheerful and polite.

Stopped in after a long day on the parkway. Very reasonable prices. The service was great and the owner was friendly. The large salad is big enough for 2, The pizza was delicious as well as the garlic bread appetizer. Would recommend for anyone with a family, but couples can enjoy as well.

Seven of us went for dinner. We were seated quickly and placed our orders promptly. Then we waited almost 2 hours for our food. During that wait, we asked at least four times for bread before we got any. I got a Greek salad which came before our dinners and it was very good. When we finally got our dinners, my friend’s sausage and pepper entre was also very good but my lobster ravioli was not. The pizzas looked good but one of my friends who ordered pizza is out sick today with dysentery.

Fantastic find… in the middle of winter in January… super friendly staff, owner and chef… great food, wonderful house Chianti and we had the white hawaiian house special pizza and it was so well made… Crust was delicious. Quick hi to Papi and Lisa… checkout the shots inside the restaurant

The food is delicioussss! Very fresh, and family friendly. The staff is super nice, they even get our dog a few treats outside!! I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever in the area and looking for a place to eat some amazing food.

We stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago. We ordered she (calzone, Stromboli, house salad) service was good, food is overpriced in my opinion, as it was $60 for lunch. I would much rather drive an hour to the Black Olive in TN, where we can pay less for dinner and get much larger portions.

I got a gluten free pizza with pepperoni pineapple and jalapeno. The gluten free option is pretty expensive, even when compared with other restaurants. The crust was very tasty, had a pleasant taste to it. Maybe cauliflower? I would’ve preferred the pizza cooked more but that’s preference.

Waitress was the highlight and was sympathetic and understanding with a great attitude. Eating outside was pleasant. Now for the bad part. Pizza was the worst I have ever eaten. No flavor and very little cheese on the deep dish pizza. The owner took care of us with refund. I am hopeful this is a one off and that it and posted this not to punish, but to have restaurant step up and never allow this to happen again.
