Our waitress was very nice, but this is by far the worst sushi rice I’ve ever had. Even super market sushi has better rice. I don’t understand how a Japanese restaurant can make mushy sushi rice and serve it. It’s like getting soggy bread at a sandwich shop. I even questioned the waitress about this and instead of fixing anything, they just acknowledged that they overcooked the rice. That’s it. Not attempt to rectify the situation. Knowingly serving a bad product and not doing anything about it after customer feedback is just beyond unprofessional. Very unfortunate, specially since the flavours were actually good, but the rice just ruined every single dish.

One of the best sushi places in the Bay area. It is a hole in the wall place and you really have to know it to be there. I have been going for 15 years and have never been disappointed. Today I had 2 special rolls (Salmon Salmon roll and Crab and Lobster roll). Plus tonkatsu ramen. Everything was delicious.

Food was good. Portion size hasn’t changed but the prices definitely has. I took pictures for the updated prices. $10 for imitation crab in small version of California rolls are a bit much… Sushi roll below was Brynne and Madison for $18. You are correct, I was not full and that price is what a regular price full meal would be elsewhere. It tasted good but sorry, will not frequent as often due to pricing.

We love isushi. We have been dining here for over 15 years. The fish is fresh, the rolls are unique with plenty of raw, cooked, and veggie options to choose from. When the owner Stan is present he can craft a tailored menu and introduce you to the most unique and delicious courses. The restaurant is small and intimate with friendly staff. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high quality sushi.
