I love Jamaican and Caribbean food. This was an expensive disappointment. The restaurant is never open and when I finally saw the food truck outside I stopped. The jerk chicken had good flavor but everything else was off. Rice was soaking wet and didn’t have any flavor. It was served in a to go bowl with wet rice and a little shredded jerk chicken on top. Plantains were hard. Nothing looked or tasted fresh. Waste of money!!!

Yum! I stopped here after work and oh, boy what a treat! This sweet place is all decked out Jamaican style, music and all. Food was so delicious!! Started with a Jamaican Guinness Punch, umm, wow! Then, some fried tiger shrimp, again delicious. Jerk wings best I’ve ever had, so tender, fall off the bone done with perfect spice & heat. Oxtail to die for, smashed roots and perfectly fried fresh plantains. Everything was so so good

The jerk chicken wings were incredible. The jerk chicken rubbish plate was amazing. Kids loved the kids meals. The strawberry lemonade is the best I’ve ever had. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere with good music. The service was excellent and we will definitely be returning.

I’ve eaten food from here only twice and the only regret I have is that it has taken me so long to try it! An old college acquaintance messaged me about Island Wraps back before Easter about them being open. On a whim, since I didn’t have Dinner planned and I was exhausted with a newborn and a toddler, I ran over Easter Sunday and got a few things off the menu to try. Including Goat Curry.
Can I say, that the Goat Curry is seriously the GOAT! Hah. I’ll show myself out now…
But if you made it this far in the review, seriously, give them a try! The plantains are amazing!! The Festivals (glorious globs of donut/cake batter deep fried and covered in sugar) are dense and delicious! The curry, which also comes regularly with chicken, is flavorful and … Renders me speechless. I got extra sauce so I could dip my roti in. And…. It doesn’t come spicy, so if that is what holds you back, don’t let it!
My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich. If you like fried chicken, get it! So much better than other places. The chicken alone was perfect! But there was this pepper and onion topping that made me question why I didn’t order one for myself as well.
Inside the restaurant is colorful! The people there are in good spirits and absolutely wonderful and kind! The food takes a while but it is worth it. Absolutely worth every bite! Portion sizes are good! (I have at least two meals with the curry…) It’s a tiny colorful Caribbean secret hiding in an inconspicuous plaza just outside a residential area of West Henrietta. Find it! Your taste buds will thank you!

I just want to take a moment to show some love and appreciation to the beautiful souls at Island Wraps on 5152 E River Rd ❤️. From the very first time my husband, our kids, , our family and I walked in, they’ve treated us like family, with love, warmth, and genuine kindness. The owner is such a wonderful woman, and our dear sister Dominique Alexandria always greets us with so much care, even showing love to this growing baby in my belly .
When you go to a restaurant and feel that kind of connection, it’s something special. The food is amazing, but the love and energy they pour into their space make it even better. If you haven’t been to Island Raps yet, show them some support, it’s more than a restaurant, it’s a family vibe. ✨

Fabulous food! Fabulous atmosphere! Truly excellent staff! I ordered the jerk chicken dinner with rice and beans, plantains, and salad. Very very good. So fresh tasting and just like I’m back on the island! I really appreciate this place being close to my home and I highly recommend trying Island Wraps. I know my family will be back and I will be telling whoever I can!

Outrageous pricing. Great place but charging 3 times what they should be for portion, location, and ingredients. Cocktails are $15 and it was a Guinness with honey and cap full of rum (very tasty but not even a buzz worth). Unfortunately will never be back for the great food….and we live a minute walk from the place.
The decor, service, food and ambiance is exceptional. However, rice, cabbage, and chicken type dishes shouldn’t be $50+ in west Henrietta gas station area. You will enjoy the food and experience until you see the bill.

We first tried this food at the Brockport Arts Festival and so sorry it took us this long to get to the restaurant. We tried several things (rubbish plate, jerk wings, pepper steak, soup, drinks, festivals…). EVERY SINGLE item was incredibly delicious. We can hardly wait to go back and will be inviting friends that we know will also love it. This place is run by absolutely kind and beautiful people who really go out of their way to please their customers and are obviously hurt by any negative reviews which I can’t believe even exist. They will adjust the spiciness of your food upon request and they even said they would cater their burger to one of our friends who is simply a plain burger girl!
