Good place to relax and have some beer. They have some food you probably never heard of. Such as fried avocado, burnt cheese tortilla shell, yum yum ball, the dude chicken sandwich, etc. They use a little t for f yum yum sauce on their meal.

A good friend that owns a restaurant told me about this place and how he drives from Huntington to Nitro to eat at this establishment. So I had to try it and had the Dude Chicken Sandwich and the Yum Yum Balls over rice. If you’ve never tried this place then you can stop looking for somewhere to eat and you must try this place. The only negative is the fact it’s in a traditional bar and I have a 10 month old son but we ordered take out before we knew it was in a bar so it didn’t impact our experience. Food was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had made a dish similar to the Yum Yum Balls and loved my version but it’s nothing compared to these magnificent works of art. The Dude Chicken Sandwich looked better in person than in pictures and we all know how disappointing it always is when you get food and it isn’t anything like what you saw in pictures. This sandwich is also a work of art. Island Teriyaki needs more exposure, I’ve lived in Putnam County for 4 years and just found out about it last week. If I knew about Island Teriyaki, I’d have eaten there every week for those 4 years. This is a must try
