Service was a little slow because it wasn’t packed but with a dozen or so folks there it was a lot for 1 person to tend bar, take orders, run food etc but it wasn’t bad at all, they handled it well.
Definitely will go back. I still can’t believe the quality food.
If you haven’t tried this spot yet, you’re seriously missing out! We stopped in and ordered the Loaded Nachos, and let me tell you—these aren’t your average nachos. Mark explained that instead of regular chips, they use freshly made tortillas, and the difference is unreal! Crispy, flavorful, and packed with toppings.
We also had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and sliders, and both were absolute perfection. Whether you’re craving something unique or just looking for great food in a laid-back atmosphere, this is the place to be.
Here’s all the things wrong with Ironwood:
1. Service was terrible – took a long time to order drinks and our table was never cleared off so we had to pile the dirty dishes on an empty table near by
2. The menu is misleading – cheese curds were spicy and nachos had nasty buffalo chicken – neither of which were in the description
3. They need a bartender who knows how to make drinks and shots. We ordered lemon drop shots and it was like drinking rubbing alcohol with lemon juice. When I asked for new ones, the bartender made new ones but never said a word. Just took the glasses and made new ones. No apologies or basic customer service
4. The most appalling of all – some in our group had additional charges added weeks later! How scary is it that this place can hold on to your credit card and charge you more because they don’t feel you tipped enough?!
5. Lack of manager presence and adequate staffing – all of our bills were messed up. No manager was there to fix them. I didn’t have a tab open and opted to pay cash. When I went up to the bar to pay, the server said she charged it to my card. I told her that couldn’t be, I didn’t start a tab. I told her to reverse it so I could pay cash, and yet again, the response was she couldn’t do it because she’s not a manager. I was appalled that they charged someone else’s card! Luckily, it ended up being someone in our group so I could make it right
Ironwood needs to stop marketing events to locals when they don’t have adequate and competent staff. We will NEVER go here again and we are a group who likes to go out every week!
The sad thing is that this could be a great place if they made some serious changes.
