Well, great service. I got 1/2 lb of brisket. Nice an moist, but had a bitterness to the smoke. Sometimes, it happens with the smoking process. Had the white bread, great pickles, and sliced onions.

Authentic. Old. Unique. Wood-fired genuine Texas BBQ. We got the sampler plate and it was enough to split between us two and we were very satisfied. Mac and cheese was excellent. The brisket fell apart and was delightful. The green beans have pork in them and a great flavor. Caramelized peach cobbler too! Very nice staff as well. Would definitely return!

I can’t describe how much I love Iron Works BBQ. I graduated from UT in the 90s and am so happy that this place is still going strong, serving delicious brisket and solid sides of coleslaw and Mac n cheese.

Very very very rustic BBQ place. The service was friendly and quite fast. The food is the star of this place. I got the sampler which included a very large rib, brisket, sausage, Mac n cheese, and coleslaw (you pick the sides). This was extremely filling and flavorful.

Gotta give this place a try next time you are in Austin. Great BBQ! Not anything fancy but you get so much food for the price! Stop in and get a platter or sandwich and don’t miss out on the sweet tea. Not the cleanest place in town but if you can overlook that you are in for a treat.
