Stopped, passing through the area. Looking for a homey, local atmosphere and found it here. The waitress, Samantha was very good. Attentive, checked on us enough but not too much. Made sure we liked everything, etc.

Wow, I was really happy with the Iron Skillet! If you find yourself gliding across that sea of corn that is western Ohio/Indiana/Illinois it’s always fun to find a place to stop. We were happy we did. It’s clean and friendly, quick service, and the food was very good and a great value. I especially was intrigued by the quotes and sayings written on the rafters. I’m including a picture but you will have to go if you want to see them all. There must be 50 or more. I had a biscuit and gravy egg breakfast (at 8PM), and my wife had a great looking club sandwich. This is way better than a rest area Burger King, and well worth a few extra minutes of your time to get off the interstate.

Really convenient for an oil change at Freightliner. No decaf. I suppose since it is a truck stop that is acceptable. Fake looking eggs on the omelet. Service was great. I’m just sayin…

Trust your server. When Sam says the new Spaghetti and Meatballs is very good, try it. Such a good sauce, and the meatballs were good if you just ate them plain, but as a combined dish, Thank You Sam, great suggestion 🙂

The place had a great vibe and atmosphere, it had amazing breakfast and food period but it seemed to take forever. The wife ordered French fries with her food and was told the fryer was down so she ordered hash browns instead but wen our order came up there was a plate of French fries sitting right beside our order and they weren’t hers. Oh well the hashbrowns were decent enough. I look forward to going back just maybe we’ll have a take out order instead. Bur the place was clean and up to par, just not the service. Maybe next time?

I had the steer burgers and eggs for breakfast. It was good food waitress was really nice and polite kept up on the drinks this was for breakfast. The cook is kind of slow but I still give a five-star to do recommend this place and it was a clean place to eat at.

We were very disappointed some of the food was not fully cooked, some overcooked asked for crispy bacon got 2 pieces that were half raw. So no, sorry, I can’t recommend this place. Might be a better idea to go down the road and find someplace else to spend your money because for what we got, it was super overpriced.

It’s greasy old truck stop food at this location… The servers are rather rude.. I was finished my meal but still drinking my glass of water when she took it.. the only good thing is I did not get sick from the food .. just a trucker’s opinion!
