We had to chance to stay as a Harvest Host member in the back of the restaurant in our travel trailer. The young lady who met me when we arrived was awesome! She showed us where to park and said if we needed anything let her know. We had an early dinner reservation and the service was excellent! The food was a bit underwhelming in my opinion. I did see the jalapeno popper on the appetizer menu and that looked great as it passed our table about 6 times! A Moscow Mule for $15 in a small cup that really wasn’t very good seems very overpriced to me. I still give it 4 stars cause the staff is outstanding!

If I could give more stars I would! When they say it’s an experience it really is! This restaurant has no issues with staffing! Amazing food. Great service and interesting location! We found our date night place! Make reservations and be prepared to spend 2-3hrs enjoying your night out!

We were in the nearby Pinnacles National Park and happened to chance upon this place. There were 5 of us and each one absolutely loved the meal. The salmon was tender and perfectly cooked. The accompanying garlic butter sauce was lip smacking. The prawns Provençal, the duck, and vegetarian plates all were incredible. The dessert was freshly made. The service and ambience was cozy and welcoming. We’d happily drive down again to savor the experience.

This was our second time dining here in probably 8 years. We recently received a gift card and figured we’d give it another try.

We absolutely loved this place! Each table had its own little fireplace and it just made the ambiance wonderful! Very kind and friendly staff. The meal was amazing! We had baked brie with cranberry chutney that was super delicious, a whole roasted chicken with vegetables, the best we’ve ever had! The salmon with leeks was also superb.

Every time my family & I come here, it’s a great experience. The food is delicious and the service is even better! The staff is welcoming and sweet and attentive. We keep bringing our friends and other family members here and they never disappoint. Last time I got the New York steak medium rare with the mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables and I cleaned my plate entirely! Such a gem of a restaurant!

A great little tiny spot in the middle of nowhere, but for locals in the know, this place is the best in the area. It’s a true local gem.

Just outside Hollister CA sits The Inn at Tres Pinos. I/We had the pleasure of dinning there one early October, 2018 with our Grandy. First impressions from the gravel parking area adjacent to the “Inn” was a roadside bar/restaurant in an older single story wood structure. Once through the doorway a dark “Woody” foyer greets you with a feeling as though you stepped back into a bygone era of the mid twentieth century or earlier? (See pics). Rustic old West ambiance frames some more modern memorabilia of famous past patrons. Not seen but apparently there is outdoor seating on their patio which can be viewed in some “stock” pictures and does appear to be an aesthetically pleasing option. We dined in the main dinnng area which was pleasant enough and not overly crowded. The dinner (Tuesday 5pm) included to start, the sauteed calamari, mixed green salad, ceasar salad, main course: veal saltimbocca,. (split), farfalle del Mar, and for dessert, their bread pudding. The sauteed calamari was prepared in a wet red diced tomato sauce and the calamari itself was lightly breaded. This style (offering) was the best calamari I have eaten in a while. The taste of the sauce and the calamari was complementary and zesty while still maintaining firmness. The salads were fresh, tasty, and my ceasar was tangy and not over saturated with dressing; the sardines ordered as a topping perfectly complemented the experience. The homemade croutons provided some appealing texture. The farfalle del Mar was served hot, was a delicate combination of seafood as described on their menu. Not fishy, but fresh and light with the pasta well prepared and seasoned with the fresh ingredients. The split order of the saltimbocca was not tasted by the reviewer, although Grandy and other family member expressed their satisfaction by finishing their meals. The bread pudding I must say was some of the best! Firm texture/heavy with tones of spice and vanilla topped with ice cream, fresh berries and dried cranberries and Carmel drizzle. The Inn at Tres Pinos provided a very good/excellent dinning experience by combining a rustically pleasing ambiance, high quality food and very good value, and very good service (John.). If you’re in the area or close, this would be your safest “bet” for a great dinner. The overall rating is in the range of (4.4-4.7) stars. Enjoy!

Wonderful food, funky ambiance. Clientele were a mixture of cowboys, and well dressed diners. Small menu with beef, pork, seafood and a few vegetarian items. I enjoyed their Cesar salad and vegetarian pasta which were both delicious. My companion enjoyed an oyster starter, and swordfish in a beurre blanc sauce which was very good. We were seated outside in an area that had us costantly chasing the sun, battling thewind and flames from a firepit table. The adjacent area was a dirt parking lot and view of nearby “shack” with lots of ferel cats. At one point a pickup truck came roaring through the parking lot dusting out the outside diners us included. When the guy got out of his truck, someone mentioned to him about the incident, and he said ” I’m sorry you didn’t like that.” No apology. It was later discovered that the driver of the pickup was in fact the owner.

Love going to this locally owned restaurant. The food is outstanding – rich and delicious. Get your usual drink of choice or choose a custom creation. You can dress however you want – jeans and cowboy hat or suit and tie. Good place for a date, celebration, or any day that ends in “Y.”
