I love the Indigenous Food Lab! The food and drinks are incredible and so special. In addition to being a favorite place to visit as a family, it’s a great place to take visitors from out of town to introduce them to local native food and indigenous culture. Fav order is the grain bowl with smoked white fish and an iced cacao latte. They also have a fantastic shop with great books – historical, children’s, cooking, etc. as well as other local and native-made food and gifts. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and helpful. Can’t say enough about the IFL, I am so thankful for their presence!

My partner and I love Owamni, so we were very excited to see Indigenous Food Lab out in the community at East Lake Open Streets today. We tried the Indigenous Grain Bowl with the 3 sisters. It came with a delightful red sauce with a hint of spice.

I got the grain bowl with 3 Sisters and salsa roja at open streets and loved it! It tasted delicious and fresh and healthy. There was also a sample of iced Community Tea which was refreshing and I would have bought in a larger format. Can’t wait to check out their space in Midtown Global Market proper

Awesome meal from here. Super filling and great selection of books and gifts to shop for while you wait! I got a bison birria grain bowl with corn salsa and a sun cookie. So glad we stopped here!

Love the location. Midtown Global Market is such a cool place and this fits in perfectly. Had the Bison Birria Tacos and Smoked Whitefish over corn cake. Both were great. The salsa we had and the wojape (berry sauce) were both great. Had some fun drinks too. Definitely recommend going.

Love Owamni so was excited to try this place. Had the corn sandwiches with 3 sisters. The beans were so undercooked they were practically crunchy. They ended up kind of hurting my stomach. The food was really fresh and flavorful though. Loved the salsa.

What’s not to love about incredible local cuisine supporting an amazing culture? Get the corn & sumac salsa, it’s addictive. And shoutout to Jackie for being so welcoming and lovely.

Attended the grand opening tonight. The appetizer samples were fabulous (very similar to the food at Owamni) and the teas and sweets were perfect.
