The enchiladas were dry and weren’t super flavorful. My wife said they needed a touch of salt. The steak I got was pretty good and the aoli was nice.
The guacamole was interesting with the mint in it and the pico with the tamarind was good. The highlight of the meal was the fried cauliflower.
It seemed like the Indian and Mexican fusion was more like: You get a side that was a touch of spices from either genre and nothing too pronounced. There is a ton of potential there. Spice it up! Mix the spices together. And a pinch of salt would go a long way.
This past Sunday, Indicana celebrated their one year anniversary by blessing their patrons with an unforgettable dining experience… a Six-Course tasting menu. Six courses with six tequila cocktail pairings. As each course was served, Chef Noreen came out to clink the glass to grab our attention and talk about the dish. This included her sharing information about the ingredients and connecting some nostalgia and inspiration to the fusion of India X Mexico. The bartender also popped in to introduce the tequila cocktails she perfectly crafted to pair with that course. Sometime during the evening, “Chip,” the silent partner, also came to our table to introduce himself and chat a bit. That was charming and added to the intimate, human experience at Indicana that night.
My Love took me to this dining event, which felt like a continuation of my birthday just weeks ago– Food and Stories, the two things I love most about this whole earth-side human experience. The portions were beyond generous for a tasting menu. The flavors were positively poised, so balanced, pairing two cultures so well that they seemingly fused into an entirely new cuisine leaving you to feel warm, satiated, satisfied and inspired to unify. We should come together, blend cultures, break bread, share thoughts, ideas, and love each other… Start with the food. Start at Indicana.
Happy 1st Anniversary, Indicana!
Cheers to many, many more years and continued successes!
Thank you for showing up.
Spokane needed you.
Did you really read all that?
Of course, the flavors matched the visual presentation. From innovative fusion tacos and shareables to satisfying entrees and house-made desserts, every bite was a harmonious blend of Indian and Mexican influences—bold, fresh, and delicious. The kitchen’s commitment to quality is clear, and it shines in every dish.
Service was friendly and attentive without ever feeling intrusive; it complemented the delightful atmosphere perfectly. Whether you’re out for a casual meal, a celebratory dinner, or a festive gathering, Indicana hits the mark on all fronts.
Highly recommend—Indicana delivered a stellar experience in every way. We can’t wait to return!
The service was professional, kind and fairly quick.
The food was really good. My young teenager enjoyed his food, as did his sister. We know younger ones can be picky. So that was a major plus.
Good times had by all. Thank you
