This place gives off an unsettling vibe, reminiscent of a red-light district, largely due to its poor decor and the overpowering red lighting inside. I’ve never actually seen anyone dining here, which adds to the eerie atmosphere. There’s rarely anyone at the reception — they really need a front desk staff to welcome guests and manage the space.
The food is well below average, with the only decent option being the momos — and that’s mostly because there aren’t many alternatives nearby. Sanitation also seems questionable, and the overall ambiance feels secretive and uninviting. They need to make significant improvements in both cleanliness and customer experience.

Indian Spice has been my go-to for years, and I’ve always loved how flavorful their food was, the spices really stood out. Lately though, the dishes have been noticeably bland. I’ve come back a few times hoping it was just an off day, but something seems to have changed. I’m not sure if it’s a new recipe or a different approach being they are under new management, but unfortunately it’s not the same as it used to be. I plan to give them another try soon, but if the food continues to lack flavor, I may need to look elsewhere for Indian food. I normally get the butter chicken, tikka masala, and chicken tandoori.

This was my first visit and I asked for thali which is $5.00 extra. My lamb portion was half of what I would normally get if I ordered it by itself. This makes zero sense and this is why they have no customers. To boot the food was substandard. If you really want good Indian food it is worth the drive to go to Bombay in Sacramento

Visited on a weekday during lunch hours. Not busy. I ordered the “Butter Chicken” lunch special. It costed me about $20.
The food was alright. The water tasted a bit different. Like it had lemon and/or cucumber in it – a bit too soapy tasting for me.
The butter chicken was pretty good – the gravy went well with the naan. The rice could have been warmer, at least when they serve it. The chickpea dahl was also decent. They could have done a better job with prepping the vegetables.
The service was direct. The order took about ~12 minutes from order to table.
The atmosphere was a bit dated. I feel like they could use a touch up on the decor. Not the most welcoming atmosphere (at least for me).
Would I come back here to eat again?
Pretty expensive for a lunch special. The food was good, but I don’t know if it was “$20 good.” The place could use some minor adjustments. I wouldn’t choose to eat here, but if someone invited me to give it another try, I’d consider it.

I always come here because the food is delicious however today the food we got tasted old, the Himalayan samosas and they were still frozen In the middle. The chicken we got was dry and cold. The environment was dirty. Restrooms were gross and had pee all over the seat. The sever we had was not very friendly, for how much I spent the food should be fresh.

It was alright food was decent asked for medium wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be like other Indian restaurants I’ve been too. Place was completely quiet which on one hand I’m fine with but a little music or something would go a long way. Server was nice when he was bringing food or water but could hear wvery conversation he was having which is why music would help.

The service was good and the atmosphere is nice. I found the sauce in the dishes we ordered far too sweet. I’ve actually never experienced Indian food like that. The garlic naan was very tasty though.

Had a wonderful dinner at Indian Spice Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, fresh, and nicely prepared. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made the whole experience even better. It was such a pleasant evening, and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic and tasty Indian cuisine with great service!

I came here during regular timings and not during buffet.

chicken 65 was good
chicken biryani was good
other than that two curries (madras curry and chicken curry) were very average
maybe i should try some other things next time
if they make it better, i would rate them better
they have well maintained restrooms
they have good decoration inside the restaurant
waitresses did a good job, they accommodated anything we asked for.
i will try buffet next time and see how it goes.

It looked like baby food on a tray. I wanted spicy shrimp. I got fiery extra spicy hot shrimp. I didn’t eat much of my food because so much seasoning spice they put into their cooking. Wasn’t a good experience for me. I didn’t know what to order. Wasn’t sure what was on the meal. Our server took forever to check us in when we first got there. Even when he took our orders and brought out our meal. He didn’t come back out to check up on us. So, when they finally did check up on is was like an hour later. We literally could have got up and left. But, not that type to do that without paying for my meal. There was nobody of anyone coming to dine while we were there.
