We came here on a weekday for lunch when they opened. We were greeted by the friendly waitress and were seated right away. They were pretty slow and two other parties came in for lunch while we were there. Both groups are of college age boys. Found out that they have a $14 lunch buffet so we opted to do that instead of ordering a la carte.
The place was very clean and our waitress was cleaning up after people used the buffet. She was quickly removing plates from tables and refilling water cups.
I wish I could rave about the food but I found the curries and food to be a bit bland. I’m not sure if they are so because they are part of the buffet and the restaurant was trying to keep things mild. Fresh delicious fluffy baked naan comes with the buffet.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant that I have ever been to…! The owner, chefs, and waiters are so abundantly nice and joyous. The food is delicious and the buffet hits the spot every time. I recommend getting the Kadai Tofu (I’m sorry I don’t really know how to spell it or if I’m spelling it right) and I recommend the naan too — the buffet has lots of yummy things though so it’s hard to choose between those options and all of the other options! The atmosphere is very cozy and the decorations are beautiful. Also the place is suitable for all group sizes! Even up to 8 – 9 people.

Last night was my second time eating here. The first time I ordered a chicken dish, this time I had Shrimp Mappas. Both times they exceeded my expectations !
We arrived early thankfully since business seemed pretty good for a Saturday night, although it didn’t seem crowded at all. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, always there to offer advice – beneficial, since I am new to Indian food. Our meals were served in a timely manner and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is dimly lit and Indian music plays softly in the background. They seem to do very well on takeout dishes also so that is another option I may consider. Parking is off street, free and plentiful. I just finished eating my meal from last night since there was more than enough to satisfy my appetite. Overall, my opinion of Indian cuisine has been completely changed for the better and I will recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for a delicious dining experience !

We randomly stopped by Indian Flame for the buffet, and it was such a great experience! The food was super fresh and delicious. The masala tea was absolutely amazing—not machine made, you could really taste the difference. The place is quiet, clean, and the customer service by Sai was excellent. We really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend!

Best Indian buffet in the area— we’ve tried them all. Dishes are flavorful and manage to be delicious without being spicy. It’s a little out of the way in Wynantskill, but very much worth the trip.

I’m here visiting my in-laws and I’m from Portland, ME. We have lots of great Indian places in Portland but the Mango Lassi here was BAR NONE. It was so complex and delicate in flavor, and the hint of cardamom was a real treat. Uni, our server, was amazing and I wish I would’ve listened to him when he ribbed us for ordering a lot of food
We each got an entree (I got the chicken boryani and it was delicious, the raitha crunchy and fresh). We also got the lentil soup (dreamy and full of flavor) and five different kinds of bread (rice pancakes, garlic naan, naan, onion, and dosa) and fried veggie fritters (I requested that my mother in-law bury me in the cilantro sauce).
Nice and quiet restaurant. Will be very excited to come back.

We were pleasantly surprised when we found this gem of a restaurant as we traveled through upstate New York. The food was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options including an incredible spinach chat and cauliflower appetizer. The naan was exceptional and the service was super friendly and warm. Easily the one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the Capital Region. We’ll be back!

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food this is your place! We had the best experience and meal here. The waiter was very kind and made us feel very welcome. We got the butter chicken and the lamb Rogan Josh and we were blown away with how delicious it was! We definitely be back at least once a week. 10/10

Hope this convinces a lot more folks to try their great food, which includes all the familiar dishes plus South Indian specialties which are hard to find in the Capital District. And please try their excellent buffet! A local favorite.

I got a sampling from the buffet. Most were vegetarian options although I did have the chicken masala which was very good. Will definitely be going back.
