Goodness I love this place. So glad I live close by. I do order my food with no mushrooms or onions and that helps. They usually get our order perfect. Its always hot and fresh and good. I suggest Kung Pow 4 Delight. So good! Best egg drop soup i have ever had too! Kids always enjoy the general tso chicken. 100% love it. The is a lovely lady who has worked there for a long time and she is a gem. Always smiling. Always pleasant.

Family went there after FHS’s “Fozen”. Not terribly busy yet but we were a party of 11
Server got our drinks out quickly and appetizers ordered. They were pretty standard. Everybody enjoyed their dinners. My spicy chicken was not very spicy and kind of slim on vegetables, but not terrible. Reasonably priced and are one server did a pretty good job

Our server was awesome to start off we were ask right away what we wanted to drink and then she was quick with our order of drumsticks with the delicious palace sauce. Our food was hot but not much of it . Our server also brought us extra rice without charging. Overall this was good food at an ok price.

Ordered for pick up, and placed an order for vegetable(cabbage) egg roll and got beef. I was really looking forward to it. I had it clarified when placing the order. Not happy when I ordered 3 of them

This is one of the very best Chinese restaurants in the entire NW Illinois.
I had the Moo Goo Gui Pan and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys chicken, pea pods, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots in a white sauce over fried rice. The egg drop soup is always a favorite!

My boyfriend and I are passing through and tried the orange chicken and crab rangoons. We enjoyed the rangoons. The orange chicken was different than what we’re used to… Lots of veggies, didn’t really taste the “orange” at all. My boyfriend didn’t like it and only took one bite. I was hungry enough, i had a few more bites, but I ended up getting really sick. I hate giving these kind of reviews but it feels necessary.

Absolutely a hidden gem! I am picky with my Asian food having been stationed overseas for so long. Definitely a place we keep coming back to. The prices are great so we can come a few times a month and enjoy!

Hello Beautiful People, I had a taste for Chinese. So of course I snooped around on Google to see what Freeport has for Chinese cuisine Not many choices…so I took a chance on Imperial Palace. My choice was take out; but they are open for Dinning in. I ordered for 2 and got the Combination Fried Rice, Combination Low Mein, and the Kung Poa Chicken to go. The wait was only 10 minutes ( not bad ), $37 and some change. While waiting peaked at the dinning area and they offer dim lighting with a quiet atmosphere, so it made me think of date night , maybe? But it wasn’t busy at all, seems like they do better in take out. When I got home I was hoping for good? What I will say is I’m spoiled by China Town in Chi Town… The food seemed under flavored the rice in my opinion was sticky and over cooked so it was all balled up and didn’t want to break up. I would say for what I got it’s overpriced and didn’t leave me with wanting to go back…hmm So I’m going to try another city and hopefully I can cure my Chinese food craving… . I noticed they didn’t have their menu posted so I got a few photos before I left.
