The place is pretty cool! I have to imagine it is the the place to go for italian food in Metairie and NOLA area. Food was all pretty great, portions were generous. Our servers were very nice. It has a very cool historic ambiance in there and amazing to see all the pictures and memorabilia. Can def tell the owner loves the Saints. I would recommend this place is worth going to.

Very nice singer, all the food was fresh and very good. Only downside was we went at a busy time so the service was slow at first but once it started everything was perfect!

Very nice neighborhood Italian and Creole place. A bit “quirky”…they had to “accept” my online reservation but everything worked out! Great shrimp au gratin (ALSO called “Shrimp Nona” on their menu….a bit confusing). Also great Soft Shelled Crab Marcello topped with a seafood sauce. The only thing that was a “miss” oddly enough since this is an Italian restaurant was their homemade Fettuccine Alfredo. Pasta itself was fine but there was no trace of cream or parmesian cheese…very dry and lacked any flavor. Also needed seasoning on it. But overall wonderful.

This was by far the worst meal I have eaten here, and I have been going here for 40 years! We got the 5 course meal for $40.00, but only parts of the meal could be eaten. The crab fingers were excellent. The pastas were marginal with the angel hair with red sauce dry with little sauce. The salad was good with the house dressing being very tasty. The entree was Trout Payton. The fish was as hard as a board….so overcooked that it was inedible. Both of us sent it back, but we ended up being charged separately for what we ate which came to more than the original price with the entree!
I will think again before going back considering the price and poor quality of the cook on the food.

Had good ole spaghetti and meatballs! Absolute perfection! I definitely recommend the homemade cheesecake or tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant was very busy with multiple large table celebrations, but the wait staff was superb.

There was nothing about our 5 course meal we did not love. It was just 2 of us and the restaurant let us split an entree but our first 3 courses were a full serving each. We settled on the Veal Payton as our main dish and we shared a slice of cheesecake for dessert. It was too much food!

The service was really efficient and the kitchen was just as dialed-in. We arrived at 6:35 and was sharing dessert at 7:10.

Spectacular special occasion restaurant. We had phenomenal service. She was genuinely proud to represent the restaurant. I loved the setting. Our server, Gina, was wonderful. I hope to have many reasons to come back here. Everything was delicious. The seafood specialties here weren’t like anything I’ve ever had before except maybe Jacque Imo’s.

While food is amazing. It has the most disgusting way to enter. We were there last night three women smoking by front door. Restaurant keeps a big sand urn to dump buts by the door totally distigusting to one have to enter a place and be hit by smoke and then have restaurant place a giant sand urn by front door. Complained to owner he just gave me lip service.

Our third and last time eating here.
They brought us pasta table side before we had a menu or drinks ordered. Didn’t ask who wanted it, just served everyone at the table. When the check came there was a $12.00 charge per portion for anyone who didn’t order the 5 course special. $36.00 for pasta that probably cost them $2.00 to make. Absolutely ridiculous!
I know the last time we were there, this was not the case. The pasta was complimentary. Definitely not like it used to be.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, but what truly set Impastato’s apart was how genuinely involved and welcoming the owner was. It’s rare to feel that level of care and pride behind a restaurant, and it shows in every detail!
