“IL PUNTO” translated in Italian means “the point”. When owner and seasoned restaurateur, Antonino Pecora, first established IL PUNTO Ristorante in 2004, he envisioned this as the place, “the destination point”, where visitors from near and far can come enjoy a true Italian culinary experience. Il Punto was founded by restaurateur Antonino with the intention of becoming “the destination point” for a true Italian culinary experience. He wanted to share the love for his country, culture and a passion for good food. Came here for my daughter’s birthday. Make sure that you have reservation prior coming in. They are packed of people even on monday evening. Great food, great service. I love the taste of each food that we had. Salad with gelato and lamb chop is the one that made WOW! Thanks Anthony for the recommendation. Will be back soon

Overall pretty good Italian spot. Service was good (but could have been better…unless that’s not allowed in NYC). For starters, we had the seasonal salad with arugula, mango, and cherry tomatoes (pretty good, but not seasoned at all) and burrata with a wonderfully fresh basil pesto. Mains were the cioppino (delicious tomato broth) and a pasta with sausage (couldn’t pronounce, let alone remember, the name). Both were good but the pasta dish, like the salad, was under-seasoned.

An Italian restaurant. We went because it was close to our hotel. It’s not a very special place, but it can be tried if you’re around. Food quality is average, prices are not cheap. Excuse me, they have a reticent state, especially they try to make you spend money by serving drinks very quickly. Since we were asked to change tables, they offered us dessert. It may make more sense to consider other options.

This great little Italian restaurant was a place we met friends for dinner and had a great time. We shared all of our dishes so everyone got to try something different and it was wonderful. The wait staff was unusually helpful considering there are number of reviews are saying that they’re not friendly. There was no tip automatically added to our bill, but I left a great tip because of the wonderful help and awesome food that was delivered to our table. This is our second dinner at Il Punto in the last 2 months. Both times we’ve had wonderful food and service. I have to eat gluten free/dairy free and the menu is well labeled and the servers knowledgeable about these dietary restrictions. My husband is not GF/DF and loves the food as well. The food is fresh, delicious and authentically Italian. We will be back!

Antonio is the best. Make sure and ask to try the ice cream salad it is unique and amazing. I will stop at this restaurant every time I am in New York looking forward to trying all they have to offer. Had the pistachio tiramisu this evening it was delicious
