Reviews
TBonz has been serving the Charleston community consistently for over 40 years, and it shows in every visit. This is my most frequented spot west of the Ashley—a true neighborhood staple where quality, value, and consistency come together.
A huge reason this location runs so smoothly is Summer Davis, who is clearly at the helm. Strong leadership matters, and her presence shows in the service, organization, and overall experience every time you walk through the door.
My go-to menu items are the steak quesadillas and the burger—both reliable, flavorful, and always well executed. The steaks are solid, cooked properly, and satisfying. TBonz isn’t trying to be a high-end white-tablecloth steakhouse; it delivers exactly what locals want: great food, fair pricing, and dependable execution.
I’ve had just about everything on the menu over the years, and nothing disappoints. And the she-crab soup deserves special mention—rich, balanced, and comforting, the kind of bowl you order again without hesitation.
If you’re looking for a proven, locally loved restaurant in West Ashley, TBonz continues to deliver.
Consistent. Dependable. Community-driven.
This is how local dining stays strong.

Heather server very nicely set and helpful.

Strip mall steak house in North Charleston.
Good ambience and decor. Plenty of parking
For the price the steak was too thin.
Not seared enough. Can’t recommend. The sprouts were steamed with grated cheese and lots of butter. The sweet potato came out cold. Nice service adequate food
The server was friendly and a manager made rounds by the table at one point. I ordered the steakhouse burger with fries. Another ordered the Santa Fe chicken rolls. Both were good but the kitchen did a terrible job of pacing the meals. It took much longer to get what we ordered based on how slow the dining room was and two of our party got their food and then I sat for 7 minutes before my hamburger showed up. The waitress was apologetic but it was clear the kitchen was the issue. The manager never came back by so we didn’t have an opportunity to discuss it.
Not an impressive experience and not sure I’ll come back.
Really liked their slaw. I ha the brussel sprouts but the were a little over oiled. I got mashed potatoes and they forgot the gravy even after asking three times if I wanted it.
I got the mushrooms and onions, where I would have liked a bit more they where cooked pretty good, cut to a decent size.
Steak was cooked perfectly and salad was great. Service couldn’t have been better.
I ordered a MEDIUM ribeye and it came back so rare it was practically mooing. They took it back, reheated it and it came back medium in one section and well done in another. The ribeye was BLAND and underwhelming. I never use steak sauce, but I probably should have. My wife had salmon that was unseasoned. She ordered a slice of chocolate cake that had no taste. Kaminsky’s is typically better than that. The server was excellent, but the food, not so much. Disappointing.
