Artisan Italian sandwich shop with top quality ingredients. The number 4 roast beef with fresh mozz melts in your mouth – perfectly juicy, salty and flavorful. The number 1 chicken cutlet with prosciutto and mozz was balanced with the tang of the balsamic. Fantastic sandwich Il Posto!!

Finally got a chance to go see Michael @il_postoeatery and got the #4. House made roast beef, house made mozzarella with au jus and hot peppers. I could only eat half but boy was this sandwich amazing. Thanks Michael I will be in again soon.

THE #6 is a colossal sub and should be famous. I have not had a sandwich this good with everything in it perfect. The bread amazing! The cold cuts top quality! Even the lettuce tomatoes and seasons were perfect. I can’t wait to go back but only problem will be what to get next.
The price is great as well. I could definitely could do the 1/2 but I’ll take 2 meals out of it.
Definitely worth a shot to try, I really don’t think you will be disappointed. Even their reviews are legit and honest.
ADD THE #3 to the list of amazing sandwiches! My only problem is I can only get here once a month and not close to my home . Where can you get a half sandwich like this for $7.95 that rates this good!!

This has become my go to place for lunch or dinner. The sandwiches are absolutely phenomenal and prices are good too. The mozzarella is so so so good and every sandwich is perfect. Everything feels so fresh. Highly recommend the #3 for a wonderful chicken sandwich. The staff is also incredibly nice and friendly. Finally, for years I’ve struggled to find a place that makes good vegetarian sandwiches and this place does that and more. They have a strong selection of vegetarian sandwiches and they feel like actual sandwiches. Highly recommended the eggplant parm with vodka sauce and the #13 if you or someone you know are vegetarian.

Il Posto is a hole in the wall, three steps up from the sidewalk. Inside, there’s a drinks cooler, the counter to place your order, and two small tables (the business is largely take-out).
The sandwiches are wonderful. The contents are piled high on the best Italian bread I’ve ever had. A six inch sandwich makes a filling lunch; a twelve inch sandwich provides a second meal to go.
The staff are friendly and a pleasure to watch as they assemble your order.

I have lived in NJ eating sandwiches of all kinds all across NJ, but nothing has stood out more than the chicken cutlet and prosciutto sandwich here. The acidity from the balsamic vinagrette mixed with the earthy arugala, and the saltiness of the prosciutto stacked on top of soft THICCC piece of fresh mozarella ontop of more THICCC pieces of finely breaded chicken cutlets really give way to a dimension I started to dream of. Just found this place earlier this week after a doctor’s appointment but will remain a favorite to go to from here. Highly recommend to everyone, one bite will have you dreaming of the sandwich.

My husband and I came out to Clifton from NYC to grab some things we won from an auction and decided to grab some dinner on the way back at Il Posto’s. This was by far some of the best Italian I’ve had in a while. It holds up or out does any of the best sandwich shops in NYC. So many things are made fresh in house and you can tell. It was super flavorful and tasty. This is our new spot anytime we’re passing through. Everyone there was so nice and the lasagna and croquettes were just, *chef’s kiss*
PS Didn’t try it, but I loved that they had a nespresso out with an array of different cappuccinos and espressos to try. Really great place all around.

I’ve had the chicken cutlet with prosciutto and the roast beef with fresh mozzarella. Both were fantastic and there’s a lot more on the menu I want to try. A 6 in was $7.95 for a top tier sandwich. You can’t even get that good of a deal at Jersey Mike’s.

The owner and the staff went above and beyond for me, I told them I had a food allergy and they went out of their way for me.
