Poke King is a group of fast-casual poke restaurants located in Northern Nevada. We wanted to bring the Hawaiian islands traditional flavor and introduce a few twists of our own. Always fresh, healthy options and royally delicious are some of the pillars to Poke King, and we trust that’s what you’ll get every time you visit us.
We knew how good poke could be when done right, so we opened up our shop in 2017 as the first poke shop in the Reno-Tahoe Area. You might be asking yourself, “What is poke?” Simply, it’s cubed raw fish — like salmon, yellowtail, ahi tuna — paired with a base sauce, a bed of rice, wonton chips, or greens, and toppings like sesame seeds to green onions all ready for a DIY poke bowl you won’t forget

I placed an order with a green space I asked for a fried garlic I asked for tempura onions, asked for a whole bunch of food and they sent me an order with edamame, pineapple, cucumber, and crab. I’m gonna upload the photos of the order I sent. this is a terrible place a complete rip off $25 for a half a cup of food. Do not go there. They’re a total rip off.

The service was outstanding, I was greeted immediately when I walked in. I placed the order online and it was done in like 3-4 minutes. I wanted to try something new, and I’m really glad I did. It was worth the price a little pricey but when I got home opened my box I was satisfied. Everything was fresh and delicious. I recommend this place for sure you won’t be disappointed I promise!!!

The dining area is small but stylish. There are only a few tables inside and one outside. The dishes are to-go, whether you’re eating in or taking your bowl to go.
Service was friendly and they were helpful when it came to explaining vegan options. My SO is not vegan so he ordered a hamachi, spicy salmon and crab salad. He said it was delicious. Mine was delicious too and it felt like I was eating something fresh and healthy.

Haven’t been to Poke King in a while, and today, I was craving it for lunch. Decided to get my regular bowl most times I do greens, but I did brown rice with scallops, salmon, and shrimp topped off with crab salad seaweed salad and fried garlic. I normally do sesame sauce, but I tried the house sauce today. The sauce wasn’t too bad, just a little kick for me. So good. I’ve never had a bad experience here yet, and I’m glad I came in and caved in to my craving. I love poke king!

⚠️ The white rice I received went bad. Tastes stinky and sour. I ordered two regular bowls today, both bowls have the same situation. I am shocked to have bad rice and cannot stop wondering how can the sashimi be fresh even when the rice is bad? Raw fish needs to be fresh and of good quality to prevent food poisoning. I am not sure whether I am safe to have food from this restaurant.
I eat white rice every day. I am sure I can tell whether their white rice is fine or not. Please be careful before visiting this place. If you don’t want to take any risks, please avoid this place.
Definitely not recommend. ❌

Best poke in the Sparks/Reno area! The ingredients are always fresh, especially the fish, and the servers do not skimp out on avocado and crab. The staff here are friendly and cheerful, always with a smile, and they remember their regulars. Good selection of mochi as well. I come here almost weekly and it’s always a delight.

The food here is fantastic and truly fresh!! The way you can tell us when you’re in a room full of seafood and you can’t smell it – it is fresh haha.

Poke King has lovely servers, and the food does taste pretty good. I LOVE poke and do quite enjoy this place. I would say the only real downsides are the freshness of the fish and the quantity. The scoop sizes are appalling! I used to get solid heaping scoops of protein and for the last 2 years they have gradually reduced the scoops. While it is a tasty place, I do not think the price per scoop is worth it.

Over the years, I have ordered from this location in the past and the food was fresh when dining in. Recently, I have ordered delivery from them 3 times in the past month. The first two times I got diarrhea (the food literally went right thru my system within 30 minutes…sorry for graphic description). I suspected that maybe for the delivery orders they might leave the food sitting in the bag on the counter un-refrigerated waiting for the delivery driver to pick it up (like you see at a lot of restaurants )and it sits too long and that this might be the reason the fish was spoiling. Today I wanted poke again and this location is closest to my house so I thought that if I ordered it within the shortest delivery time (the app said 20 minutes for delivery) the fish might be fresher and I might be able to digest the raw fish this time so I took a chance and ordered poke for delivery within 20 minutes. Approximately 40 minutes later I was advised the order was running late and that it would be another 30 to 45 minutes. I didn’t want to run the risk of getting sick again and cancelled the order. And a wait of 1 hour 15 minutes when the estimate was 20 minutes originally when I placed the order is ridiculous. Incredibly, after I cancelled the order because the restaurant didn’t hold up to their end of the bargain, the restaurant wouldn’t refund my money. Don’t order delivery from this store and dine-in only.
