Antonio Grande achieved his dream by opening his first restaurant, the Bel’vedere, in 1976 with his wife, Clara. The couple worked to achieve their primary goal, introducing authentic, gourmet Italian food to Americans outside of the traditional fare of spaghetti and meatballs. The Bel’vedere was so popular, the couple needed a bigger space; behold the inception of Il Capriccio in 1984. Ambiance is paramount, when you dine at Il Capriccio, you feel right at home. Fresh flowers, gentle romantic lighting, chairs you can sink into and live pianists make for an unforgettable experience. Proper dress is required. No shorts, no t-shirts, no athletic wear, no hats.

If you want authentic delicious Italian food this is the place. They have an endless wine selection including great aged options. The service from valet to the waiter was top notch. Our waiter Jose was great especially with recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers to the entrees, each plate kept getting better. Don’t forget to grab yourself dessert which also did not disappoint. Would recommend!

This is a wonderful place if you wish to celebrate a very special occasion like a birthday or anniversary in a formal and intimate setting. It’s beautifully decorated with hand painted ceilings and plenty of gorgeous artwork to look at on the walls. Not only is the restaurant itself lovely but the food was also. I had delicious scallops with mushrooms and the best butternut squash I ever had, it was cooked & seasoned to perfection and presented elegantly. My boyfriend also enjoyed his lobster and clam dish. His mint mocktail was also very tasty. For dessert we had the lemon sorbet and pistachio gelato. Truly everything was fabulous, the atmosphere, the food, the host, the waiters, the valet attendant. I highly recommend this place for your formal celebration, you won’t regret. Worth every penny. I’m looking forward to coming back for my birthday dinner next time.

Visited here for a client lunch and we had a great experience! For me, the Seafood salad was fresh and flavorful and the Sea Bass Special was delicious. Also, probably the best Tiramisu I’ve had in a long time (great coffee flavors, super moist but still holding shape)
Service was excellent. The only downside for me was that the portion is on the much smaller end for the high price. Would still return and recommend checking it out!

Authentic Italian food with the most attentive wait staff. Came here for dinner with a girlfriend and we usually split our food…. The waiter was so kind as to split the entrees for us so both of our plates would be served equally. It’s best to stick with chefs specials here as it’s what’s most fresh and flavorful.

My wife and I had dinner here with her aunt and uncle, who dine here almost regularly. While I can be found more often in a more simple venue for good Italian food, Il Capriccio is a blend of elegance and decadence. The service is top notch, the atmosphere leans formal but upbeat, and the food is excellent. I enjoyed the day boat scallops with a butternut squash sauce and chickpea farinaccio (pancake). It deserves a “yum”. The other dishes received compliments as well. We were not rushed in the least. After dinner chef Anthony stopped by and told the story of the art work on the ceiling and walls (too long to tell here). An enjoyable dining experience.

It was crowded, but you and your company are treated as if your table is the most important! No detailed left unattended! You will love the variety of choices on the menu.
