Antonio Grande achieved his dream by opening his first restaurant, the Bel’vedere, in 1976 with his wife, Clara. The couple worked to achieve their primary goal, introducing authentic, gourmet Italian food to Americans outside of the traditional fare of spaghetti and meatballs. The Bel’vedere was so popular, the couple needed a bigger space; behold the inception of Il Capriccio in 1984. Ambiance is paramount, when you dine at Il Capriccio, you feel right at home. Fresh flowers, gentile romantic lighting, chairs you can sink into and live pianists make for an unforgettable experience.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Food is absolutely amazing from the way it looks to the way it tastes and the way it is brought out. Depending on what you order it could be made right at your table. The servers are great. Very polite and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is number one. The food is incredible. And if you are lucky enough to visit at late evening and witness Salvatore sing its the best!

This is a perfect place to go for a fancy business lunch or any type of celebration. The service was phenomenal, and the food was great as well. The portions were just enough not to be over full. The lemon sole dish was delicious. It is a big restaurant with plenty of space for each table, so you don’t feel like you’re stacked on top of each other. I would definitely visit again! They also have a large parking lot right off of Route 10 that easy to get to.

Wow – just terrific. Went last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and everything was wonderful. The atmosphere and music is intimate, the service was on point, and everything we ate was delicious and fantastic. It was difficult not to order all the nightly specials as they all sounded better than the last one. We also had our wedding reception here back in 2013, and it’s just as good now as it was then. Not an inexpensive meal but worth every dollar. We left full and happy and cant wait to go back.

This is the best restaurant in New Jersey. The service is top notch, from valet to dining. The food is exquisite. Once you eat this cannoli, you won’t be able to eat one anywhere else again. Gorgeous ambiance and clean bathrooms. I love it here and you will too.

This is a higher end of the scale restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a Vatican type charm. Rich deep colors, embroidered napkins, accents of gold and even a private dining area with cathedral painting ceiling and chandelier. It definitely a mature crowd venue. The service is top notch. So attentive to every detail to make the experience unique and feel expensive. The food is presented beautifully but most importantly it’s delicious! Pasta are all home made, the gravy/sauce are unique to each dish. Our party ordered a variety of dishes so it’s too many to list but they we’re all superb. If you want a fine dining experience this is a must go place at least once.
