Excellent quality of food I decided to choose the pasta Bolognese. It had a very complex multi layer sophistication to the ingredients that provided a good experience that was almost invigorating.

If you are looking forward to eat ‘Italian food’ this place is a big disappointment. This place doesn’t deserve the current high rating it has. The food tastes bad. It seems that the hygiene isn’t too good. I was super scared to get sick her after inspecting my food and drinks. So I canceled the thee. As you can see on the picture there is all trash floating on top of my tea. I think they are super unprofessional with service and the food is absolutely made from cheap quality and it tastes very bad. The dough of the pizza is tasteless, soft and wet. The bolognese is too watery, the chease is the cheapest of the cheapest.

UPDATE!! : we felt ill all day after eating here and went sick to bed.

This place used to have good pizza, but now it feels abandoned. The service was good, the waiter was attentive, but there was no water in the bathroom, and my cheese panini had no cheese. The panini also felt more like a cheap baguette from the bakery next door. Really disappointing☹️

Stumbled on to Il Borgo, WOW. My lucky, and last, day in SCDLC. Had the caprese salad as my appetizer, the spaghetti bolognese (no lie, the best I’ve EVER had in 61 yrs) for 2nd course and a salad for my 3rd. I’m so impressed I’m sitting here writing a review ! The waiter was top notch, attentive and not at all overbearing. Enjoyed it all very much, except no room for the salad ‘bowl’.

Long waiting, small quantity, and bad service.

First, the restaurant was empty and we waited 40 minutes for a single pizza.

The pizza was “ok”, but you’re not coming to an Italian restaurant for a “ok” pizza.
Cooking pizza myself, i’m sure that the dough has been made few minutes before (it was really flat) and not hours or a day before as it should be.

Secondly, we asked two glass of wine, and also, we had to wait 20 minutes.
But mostly, our glass was 1/4 fulfilled and almost hot. Strange for red wine.

Last but not least, once the last bit of pizza was in my mouth, our plate was already gone. What about enjoying you’re empty plate once you finished your meal?

There is best place in San Cris, for sure.

Not worth the good reviews at all. We were the only customers and a single margarita pizza took 45 minutes. Poor service, didn’t have much of the menu, all the plates and some glasses were broken and the toilets were very disgusting. Even things like getting change was a huge mess, he had to walk past every store to get some, while we paid with a small bill.

I have no clue how they got these high reviews. Don’t let it fool you.

Don’t want to harm this local business but Shortly… just DON’T GO.

GENREAL: We got here by accident and we entered an empty restaurant. The design was cheap and the service wasn’t so bad but *extremely* slowly (even though it was just the two of us there).

FOOD: my pasta bolognese was *inedible* since it was so salty (and I really like salt, really) so I only eat one bite (and wasn’t asked why), the pizza margarita came with a *hair string* on it, and my girlfriend Caprese came with mozzarella cheese, tomato and dried oregano on top of them…

The people are nice, really, and the location is great on the main street on Sancris but this is a very very bad restaurant, hope they will improve.
