It was honestly surprising how much fun and comfort I found inside the iHOP in Santa Ana, CA when I visited yesterday with a couple of teenagers I was hanging out with that day. The whole place had this warm, lively feeling to it that made it really easy to relax, talk, and enjoy the moment in a way that teenagers would definitely appreciate. I didn’t expect a restaurant to feel that welcoming, but something about the atmosphere made it feel like a spot where you could just be yourself without feeling rushed or out of place.
When we first got there, there were three of us, and we were already having a great time just talking, laughing, and enjoying our food. I noticed right away that there were a lot of other teenagers around the restaurant too, which made the whole place feel even more energetic and youthful. It’s the kind of environment where teenagers can hang out without feeling judged or pressured, and that alone makes it a really good place for them to spend time.
After about three hours, two out of the three teenagers I was with had to leave, but I stayed with the last one, and the two of us ended up hanging out for a total of four hours straight. I didn’t even realize how fast the time was going by because we were having such a good time just talking and enjoying the vibe of the place. It’s rare to find a restaurant where you can sit that long and still feel comfortable, but iHOP made it feel completely natural. I really appreciated that I never felt rushed or pushed to leave, even though we were there for a long time.
Even though it was a familiar restaurant to me, I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy about being there until I actually spent time inside it like that. The experience turned out exactly the way I hoped it would, and I never doubted that it would be a fun place to hang out. It reminded me how much I enjoy places that let you slow down and just enjoy being around people you like.
I’ve only been to that specific iHOP in Santa Ana one time before writing this review, but it honestly became one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable and comfortable places I’ve been to in a long time. I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place where they can hang out, talk for hours, enjoy good food, and feel completely at ease. It’s a great spot for creativity, connection, and just having a genuinely good time with people at the same exact stage of age as you.

Absolute terrible, i wish i could do 0 stars, bad service, they put pork on my food while it supposed to be only beef, as a muslim i only eat halal food, so disgusting, i lost my appetite, the manager was still going to charge us while it’s their mistake, so disappointed. Im not the only one tho both of my friends on the same table had pork on their plate while it’s not supposed to be .

I had visited this location years ago when I moved to Tustin and had a horrible experience so we stayed away from it. We decided to give it another try and this time around it wasn’t as bad however our waiter was not attentive at all. He acknowledged us upon arrival and said he would be back. We sat there for about 10minutes and luckily the bus boy was kind enough to get us our drinks. It took an additional 10minutes for our order to be taken. Food took close to an hour to come out. We sat there an observed 4 different customers get up to ask for someone to take their order or to bring them their check. We received great customer service from the bus boy in caparison to our waiter.

I like their omelette, which never fails me. Coffee is also good. We visited IHOP on veterans day. So it was busy. We waited for our entrée a little longer than expected. But overall, that’s a good place.

The people that work at this Ihop are the most efficient and caring people. They were so polite and helpful. The food was good and the service was great!! The restraunt is clean and there is ample parking. I had the llite and fit breakfast and the kids enjoyed the build your own, with cupcake pancakes.

We stopped by IHOP for breakfast-for-dinner and left more impressed than we could’ve imagined. Everything was spot on — the bacon was perfectly crispy, the hashbrowns had that golden crunch, and the pancakes were soft and fluffy, just the way we were hoping. But the highlight of the meal? The homemade salsa Erik made. It added the perfect kick and tied everything together in the best way. Erik went above and beyond, and because of him, we’ll definitely be coming back!
