When all of Pearland was still sleeping on new years day, IHOP was open. My server was Christian and he made sure I had everything I needed for breakfast and coffee. The food was fresh, hot and yummy. I did take a picture for y’all, although I didn’t think about a picture until I dug in, sorry. The big steak omelet was very good, I had mine with fresh cut fruit. I do recommend this omelet, a good way to start the day.

Late-night visit on a Sunday December 28, 2025 ~9:00pm and this location was clearly not prepared to operate properly.
There were only three workers in the restaurant: a hostess who was also acting as the server, a cook, and a woman who appeared to be the manager (I only realized she was the manager after seeing her in the kitchen later). Staffing was clearly inadequate for the number of parties that came in while we were there.
I ordered the Split Decision, no eggs, crispy potatoes, and added a side of pork patties. The hostess did not write anything down, which is fine if the order is remembered correctly—but it wasn’t. What came out was not the Split Decision. I immediately told her this wasn’t what I ordered. She mumbled something unclear and then said she thought I ordered something else.
Only after the food came out was I told they were out of French toast, which is a core part of the Split Decision. That should have been communicated before the order was taken. At that point, since it was late and I didn’t want to cause a scene, I ate what I could.
When I went to pay, the server struggled with the payment system and didn’t ask for help. I noticed the screen and made sure I wasn’t being charged for the Split Decision since I didn’t receive it. I was then told, “this works out cheaper anyway,” which completely missed the point. I didn’t order based on price I ordered based on what I wanted.
The manager never came to the table to apologize or ask how to make it right. Instead, she stayed in the kitchen, wearing what looked like regular house clothes, with a visibly dirty shirt, and instructed the server from a distance to tell me “we’re out of French toast”. That’s unacceptable. If a staple item is unavailable and an order is wrong, a manager should address the guest directly.
I paid a $17.99 bill, left $20, and left frustrated. This could have been handled easily with basic communication and accountability. I won’t be returning to this location. Which I have been eating at for over a decade.

From a solo dine in perspective:
Food was good from what i got.
I did notice some tables still being cleaned while a host would guide new people in and have them wait. Thinking having some extra time for it to be completely ready wouldnt hurt than having to stand and wait in front of your table.
Service was good and kept my drinks full.

This visit to IHOP was a pleasant experience. There weren’t many people in this 24-hour breakfast parlor, and that made for a peaceful conversation with the family. They have $6 combos with plenty of food. For example, one of the members of our party ordered a six-dollar meal that included two eggs, a slice of bacon, a sausage, and two pancakes. My brother ordered the pumpkin pancakes, and our waitress, who was very helpful during our entire experience, brought out regular buttermilk pancakes and kindly went to the chef and asked him to make two more pumpkin pancakes. Great service! I ordered the Bacon Temptation Omelet, a delectable omelet packed with bacon and cheese. It was absolutely delicious! This is a great place at which to dine at literally any time. The restaurant was clean and well- cared for, and we all enjoyed the food.

The food is always decent. The service is always decent. Their problem lies in the ability to read an order and convert that knowledge into tangible items. Since the beginning of door dash every single time I’ve ordered from this place not once have they delivered the food ordered. Ranging from sending 1 order of pancakes when over 100 dollars worth of food was ordered to sending me someone else’s order. You can order something simple and they’ll screw it up. Order a bunch of pancakes and order extra syrup. They’ll send the pancakes and zero syrup. They’ll send a few orders pf eggs and a whole bunch of syrup but zero pancakes. If you want Ihop and want it correct you definitely have to go into the store itself. They lack the ability to get a to-go order correct if their life depended on it.

The whole experience was awful. We met with family for a late breakfast and had a party of 9 that included 4 children. To start there was still food on the table after being partially wiped down. The waitress that we had was rude with a smile. She got our orders wrong starting with the drinks. When she brought out the wrong drinks and we asked for what we actually ordered she in return asked “So you don’t want this?” My orange juice was at least 2/3 water. Another person’s simple glass of water was forgotten. We had 2 identical plates and one was missing the toppings and when I asked for it she looked annoyed all while still smiling. The French toast on another plate wasn’t done well. We asked for butter for the dry toast we received and she just walked off. When she did come back and asked if everything was good and we explained no she offered to get butter for a half piece of toast that wasn’t going to be eaten. We were already done. We got and itemized receipt which included tax and when she returned with their copy to sign it was $5-$6 more with no explanation as to what it was. We asked for the itemized receipt back and that took another 10 minutes. We’ve been customers of IHOP for over 20 years and this is the first review because the service we received was so ridiculous it’s almost funny. Choose a different location.

Mrs. Tammy was wonderful. She took care of us as though she was working with a full house. I appreciate people like Mrs. Tammy.
