Great breakfast experience. Stopped in while visiting from out of town. Place was busy but our waitress, Gisela, did an amazing job. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. She was very attentive and all the other staff was very friendly. We will return for sure.

There has been a decline at this place. I had the eggs Benedict with crispy potatoes. The Benedict was good but the potatoes completely lacked any seasoning whatsoever. My husband had the country fried steak. That was good but the pancakes were terrible. It was like the batter had not been mixed well. And the maple syrup was worse then store bought generic. It was loud with a couple dropped dishes for accent. The waitress was outstanding.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner on Sunday night. We were greeted by a gentleman that thanked us for choosing IHop and waiting patiently ( we had only been standing there for about a minute) He took us to our seat and asked for our drink order. He ended up being our server and, it was the best service we have ever received at IHop. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and asked to be seated in Juan’s section. He was FABULOUS !!!

Fast service. Extensive menu. Amazing how different IHOPs are. The one on SE 14th is consistently good. Others in the area- not so much. Spinach mushroom omelet and hasbrowns for this visit. Omelet was stuffed full of fresh ingredients. Very tasty.

Not expecting anything grand, it’s IHOP! Nevertheless they did a great job. Great service, quickly got food out. My only negative comment is that the young waiter checked on us too much, which sounds good, but it was excessive. Food is okay, just normal IHOP food. Thanks for letting us stay late.

Friendly and caring staff. Great food. Open until midnight. I feel comfortable at every visit; and, wait time is short, even when packed. Juan, a waiter who has helped me at the Des Moines SE14th location, has gone out of his way to ensure I have everything I need to have a good time in this restaurant.

I enjoyed my meal. It was busy but they managed to social distance. So you could take off your mask and eat. The staff was courteous and welcoming. I was impressed by the good attitude even though they were really busy. I wanted my steak well done and I got it as requested. I couldn’t finish the meal and was able to take the rest to go. The orange juice was delicious and tasted fresh.

I’m very disappointed they no longer have my fave breakfast… ligonberry crepes with ligonberry butter!! I loved that taste. So I’ve been to breakfast 3 times since them changing menus items and all 3 times been very disappointed. BRING BACK LIGONBERRY CREPES PLEASE!!
