Went here for the 1st time at this location on Tuesday November 25th 2025 with my parents. We were traveling to NY for thanksgiving and stopped here because we wanted our morning coffee and some food. We picked here because we saw a sign for IHOP, and just got off the exit. Was easy to find in relation to I-95.
For those unfamiliar with Ihop, it is a chain that mainly serves breakfast, and more recently in the last few years- burgers. They are mainly known for their pancakes, but also have omelets and other items like crepes as well.
Anyways, walked in and had to wait for someone to come greet us and sit us somewhere– before long someone helped us and sat us at a booth. Even asked us what we preferred. Our server then greeted us right away. We ordered 3 coffees as starters. Now, the coffee did take a while to come out- maybe the server was making it. Finally the coffee came out, and definitely needed it! Maybe this is worth mentioning, but sometimes I order coffee out, and feel the need to put sugar in it. No big deal because sugar was full and right on the table- but sometimes coffee needs some sweetening– and I don’t normally use sugar at home. Could just mean that the coffee is different, at least sugar fixes it! For breakfast, I decided on the Chocolate Chocolate Chip pancakes, My dad ordered the Strawberry Pancakes, and my mom ordered the quick breakfast combo. Food came out in a timely manner. I enjoyed the food too. Waitress checked on us and made sure we were happy, and offered coffee refills too. We paid the check via a credit card, and left a cash tip. Highly recommend stopping here. Also used the restrooms on the way out, which were clean. Would stop here again if we are ever in the area.

We had the best server. Jaz at the Edgewood IHop was exceptional. She was friendly, efficient & made sure our food was exactly how we ordered it. My eggs weren’t cooked the way I ordered them & when she sat the food down.she immediately noticed it & said that is not cooked like you ordered it & took them back & had them done exactly how I ordered them. She truly cared about how our food was done & I didn’t even have to say anything..Our food was delicious & She is one of the best server’s we have ever had. Her customer service was the best. There should be more servers like Jaz. The restaurant was full but she gave great customer service in every way.

Jazmyn was amazing her service was absolutely incredible and the food was great too!! Haven’t had a server as kind and calm as she is!!! She knew how to make my morning worth it even tho I didn’t plan on ordering as much as I usually do she didn’t make me feel as if she needed a higher bill!!! Truly great service coming from a waitress herself ❤️

This IHop is right off RT 40. As we walked in the business was slow many empty tables. We were greeted with a smile at the front desk and showed to our seats . The waitress came directly over to our table and asked if we wanted drinks . Made the order and then she said she would be right back with the drinks . The girls ordered different pancake I did meals and I ordered their bone steak . The food came within 15 minutes of us ordering . The girls loved their pancakes and I got my steak which was slightly over cooked but still tasted good but had a lot of bone in it. The waitress brought drink refills without asking her name was Tiara . The men’s bathroom was fairly clean but could use a little more cleaning. Over all experience at this IHOP wasn’t bad.

They now offer gluten free pancakes. It tasted very good which surprised me. If they offer maple syrup for extra fees, it would be even better!

Food and service were pretty good. Disappointed with how much I paid for two little sausage links and the syrup bottle at our table had syrup dripping down the side. Our server saw us holding it with a napkin so we didn’t get our hands sticky, but didn’t offer to get us another one.

Ordered breakfast to pick up on Christmas morning on December 11. Money was taken from my account a few days later. Christmas Eve evening we received an email saying my order was cancelled. How does a holiday order get cancelled a few hours before pick up. AND ESPECIALLY ON CHRISTMAS!!! Been calling the number on the email with no answer and a full voicemail where I could not leave a message. PISSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! I have family members coming for Christmas breakfast which is a tradition of ours and now it’s ruined!!

I must say I am very disappointed in ihop. For them to turn away a veteran on Veterans Day is heartbreaking. The veteran has a disability and expressed her desire to eat her free meal alone at home due to her anxiety disability, but IHOP refused, stating I have to eat it inside their establishment. I do not see that is showing appreciation by letting the veteran leave disappointed and hungry. I was embarrassed and humiliated on Veterans Day. I came in, informed them of my anxiety disability and did not like to be around others. I asked if I can order it to go and was told no! I had to go home and eat potato chips for my meal. You should have said it was for dine in or I would not used my energy to come there. I feel I was wronged. Your restaurant is very heartless for making me feel so alone and hungry. Disabled vets needs to know this so they won’t experience what I did.

I’ve given this establishment a try three times. Each time giving the benefit of the doubt. But third time confirms service is subpar. You’re seated by someone who has headphones in. You wait 15 min while multiple servers walk past your table with no acknowledgment that you’re even there. There is no management in sight to ensure that the customers are being helped. Finally after forcing eye contact with one of the waitress , she says nothing to you but then tells another sever that he has a table. Server apologized and felt the need to place them blame that it’s not his section. We get our food dropped off and he quickly walks away. We didn’t have silver ware so we had to wait to find someone willing to help us so we could actually eat the food. Food was prepared well and tasted as expected . Never checked back on us . Won’t be returning as this is the third time we have had this experience . Management and service needs to be addressed.
