EVERY SINGLE TIME we go, it NEVER FAILS!!! It’s #1 for a reason. The staff is ALWAYS FRIENDLY, the ladies there are super nice and the kitchen crew throws down!!! Dont matter what time of day u go! Trust me! We have become frequent fans! The Milanesa is and they are not stingy with there portions. The carne asada fries are a MUST TRY even our kids love it. The BIRRIA ANYTHING, I highly recommend. El Bistec is as if you were at a legit Mexican restaurant, huge slab of steak with rice, beans, tortillas and salsa. Fiiiiire ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ cant go wrong with the Wednesday FISH TACOS deal! Great crunch and salsa that come with it is delicious, creamy with a kick. And las but not at all least, their Agua frescas, so yummy, decent priced and huge cup.
But over the past couple of months, the quality and service have gone downhill. Orders are often wrong or missing items, and the portions feel smaller than before. I’ve always let it slide because mistakes happen, but this last experience was the last straw.
I ordered the #32 which comes with two sopes with chorizo, rice, beans, and a drink (horchata). When I got home, I realized both sopes had no chorizo at all, just beans, lettuce, and cream, even though my receipt clearly said “with chorizo.” I called and spoke to the manager, who was polite and told me to come by anytime that was convenient to have my full order redone.
So I came back today, and honestly, it was disappointing. The lady at the front had an attitude from the moment I pulled up. She handed me the bag without saying a word, closed the window, and didn’t include a drink. When I waited and politely mentioned that my order came with an horchata, she responded with attitude, saying, “They gave you your drink the day you came, right?” and “I know they gave you the drink.”
I explained that the manager told me to come back for a full replacement because the last order was made wrong, and instead of understanding, she sighed, got more annoyed, and told me next time I need to bring the order back, again with attitude.
At that point, I remembered I had taken a picture, so I showed it to her. She saw for herself that the sopes had no chorizo, just beans, and all she said was, “Oh yeah, it’s just beans.” No apology, no acknowledgment, just followed it up with, “Oh, I guess it’s the morning.”
From there, I told her that her customer service really needs improvement. It’s disappointing to be treated that way, especially as a loyal customer who has supported this place for years, recommended it to friends and family, and continued coming even when mistakes happened. The one time I finally spoke up about an issue, this was the response I received, and that’s truly disheartening.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants, and I’d love to see it get back to the great food and friendly service it once had.
I guess we were really hungry but the flavors were intense and true Tex-mex for super quick fast food. Went through the drive through and from order time to pick up was like 3 or 4 minutes.
The only 1 star removal was that the street tacos were drier than I expected but late night fast food is unbeatable.
