The IHOP which recently opened on route 9 in freehold is a breath of fresh air. Look for the value special. $7.00 for a very large portion . All the servers are efficient. When you get there, ask for Jake, he’s a great server. A young guy working hard for a minimum wage.

I had a very poor experience at this location. Upon walking in we encountered an old waitress with tattoos (later found out her name was Denise) being very nasty to older customers. She was treating them as if they were less than and completely lacked basic human respect. In addition to this, she didn’t write our order down and of course got a part of it wrong. I was charged extra for something I didn’t even order. A friend I was with ordered a combo and in the menu it said it could be upgraded to include pancakes. She ended up charging us an extra $9 for pancakes even though she initially agreed it would be an upgrade. The toast came out and it uncannily resembled a brick. We brought our issues up when the bill came out, and she didn’t accommodate us. Then after our discrepancy she changed to a kind mood and said she would give us 10% off our bill. (She clearly just wanted a nice tip) we get the bill, do the math because we had split it, and it turns out she did NOT give us 10% off. This is another case of an elderly waitress taking her anger out on the world. I hope none of you are cursed with Denise as your waitress. There is NO way 2 people should be spending almost $60 at an IHOP.

While staying at the Red Roof Inn, on Route 9 North, I ordered from I Hop, Route 9 south 3.2 mils from here, both times, 1st time on Saturday the Jan 17 th 2nd time on Monday the 19th ordered the BeIgian Waffle Combo. Although good it came cold.
I left specific instructions about delivery to my room 121, ” i have a large dog in room, and said call and I will come out.
1st driver, I watched on map as she got lost and when she got here it was a good thing I was outside. She was going to deliver my order to a room 5 doors down.
2nd driver did call but from a totally different area of Hotel he said im here and I called because of dog, apparently he didn’t read the room number. What was really funny was his name and he would be delivering on a bicycle. He had a car.
My order was cold again.
I understand the drivers are from Uber Eats but it seems like a problem on both sides.
The waffle I had to reheat, the eggs over easy were perfect as was the hash brown and sausage.

Great, friendly place. The pancakes were hard like shoe leather, though. Maybe too long under a heat lamp?

Went there for breakfast and was fortunate enough to get a lil extra from the cook in plate (hair) I noticed it half way thru my breakfast.
Which ruined my experience and was grossed out and yes I was charged for meal. Absolutely gross and I sent a complaint to corp and local management never contacted me . Would avoid at all cost.

American classic! Food was ok. They need to bring back warm syrup because the pancakes weren’t that hot when arriving. I hate they stopped that during the plandemic.
Clean place, fast turnover of tables. Staff was nice! I would visit again but maybe after summer crowd reduces.

The food and the place is great. Unfortunately tho. What isn’t great is that this wouldn’t let me rate it for a zero star. And that’s because of the waitress we had. Rude, not polite and didn’t even checked up on us at all after having our food served. I understand that it was very busy for Sunday morning but honestly, she could’ve checked in on us and gave us a check. Clearly, looks like she doesn’t care at all. My girlfriend and I had to go to work but because of waitress, we’re not coming back to eat there again I miss the other waitress that was such a sweetheart to us. She cared and above all, she knew what she was doing. I even gave more than 20 dollar tip when we come. What a waste of breath. Edit: The waitress that we adore is brie (I think that’s how you spell it). She was the reason why we came over every mondays for our food and to have a conversation with her and WE REALLY love her company. She did the right thing of leaving there. As we will too

We were very happy with the cleanliness & service of this IHOP! The food was Great ! Steve the server was a true Gentleman, Very Attentive & Friendly ! He seams to be the early server & handles the floor like a Swiss Clock ! Great job Steve !

Wow I had a incredible experience at IHOP and it was all because of Stephan he is the best of the best!! I highly recommended going in just for this young gentleman. Kept coming back and asking if I was okay and needed anything. Thank you and Stephan deserves a raise!!!

we went at 1 in the morning and placed our order. we didn’t get our food till 2 and with that only half our order came out we got no drinks missing our sides. by the time we had finished our food the other half still had not been brought out and still hadn’t received our drinks. there was just 2 people working wouldn’t come back
