We were visiting Jacksonville from out of state and wanted to find somewhere with great Shrimp and Grits. When searching, Ida Claire came up and the menu looked great. Upon arrival we were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and warm welcome from the staff. The menu is 100% made from scratch and boy could you tell! The whole restaurant smelled fantastic! The food tasted superb and the staff was so kind and accommodating. My mother and I both have celiac so we got the shrimp and grits and our waitress made sure to let the kitchen know for cross contamination purposes. I eat shrimp and grits from all over and I believe this to have been the best I’ve had so far! We will definitely stop by here any/every time we are back in Jacksonville! The eclectic vibe and decor was also a huge plus! Every part of the restaurant is decorated uniquely!

Before even coming here we heard it was a better brunch restaurant ♂️ but for the most part for lunch our food was okay, my burger was decent and the ribs were pretty good, I couldn’t eat the beans tho nd which they let me substitute for a salad. Service was phenomenal atmosphere as well. We got a few different things for the table to share and for the most part it did not disappoint! We tried the lobster mac & cheese(10/10), biscuits with the gravy and house jam (10/10), shrimp and grits(10/10) duck fat fried potato wedges with a lemon aïoli sauce(10/10), and chicken sliders(4/10) it could’ve used more chicken and sauce for me but it may be perfect to someone else 🙂

Made reservations for Sunday brunch, we were seated as soon as we arrived. Service was great and food was on point. A little pricey but they are a scratch kitchen so everything is made to order and can be altered for allergies if necessary. Ambiance is unique, we felt as if we were at our grandmother’s house for brunch.

Great service from super friendly wait staff. They offer movie night on Thursdays. We ordered the honey chicken slider appetizer,so good. I ordered the shrimp& asiago grits, was the best shrimp&grits I have ever had. My husband got their ribs,I tasted a piece of one and they are so flavorful. Cant forget the awesome bisquits with choice of 3 toppings.(Butter,marmalade, bacon cream sauce) Definitely recommend this place.

This was my first restaurant stop being back in Jax. I absolutely adore the ambiance here and the food is absolutely divine! We started out with the crawfish beignets, followed up by the chicken fried ribeye and the short rib hash. I had never had the CF ribeye before and can’t wait to have it again. Our server was Kristin and she was phenomenal. Can’t forget the frozen flight, the margarita and frose were really delicious, didn’t care for the hurricane though. If you’re looking for a new spot to try, pick here! If it’s the weekend, I do suggest reservations.
