This is always one of my go to spots to enjoy the perfect bowl of ramen. Perfect to eat at solo, but I’ve also visited with friends and family as well! This is a no tipping establishment and the service is as attentive as you want it to be.

Upon entry you place an order on one of the kiosks. You’re given a ticket and then they assign a booth seat to you. When you sit down you give them your ticket, they confirm your order and then they bring it to you when it’s ready. Water is self serve.

I like the have purse/bag hooks under your booth and place to hang up your jacket on the walls. Food is always consistent! I usually go with the recommendations notated on the kiosk for levels of heat, garlic, firmness of noodles. Love a jammy soft boiled egg, be aware you have to peel this when you receive it.

They do a pretty brisk take out service as well. Join the rewards program if you plan to frequent. I’m a fan!!!

Great spot if you’re craving a focused, no-frills ramen experience in the middle of Times Square. The tonkotsu broth is rich, smooth, and consistently flavorful, and the customization sheet makes it easy to get the bowl exactly how you like it. Noodles had a great texture, and everything came out hot and well-prepared.

The individual booths are perfect if you want a quick, quiet meal despite the busy location. Service is efficient and streamlined. It can get crowded, especially at peak hours, and prices are a bit higher than some other ramen spots—but that’s expected for Times Square. Overall, a reliable choice for quality ramen when you’re in the area.

Exceptional ramen that tastes like the authentic version in Japan, located in the heart of city. Had the opportunity to taste Ichiran numerous times in Japan, and to the best of my taste bud ability, it’s almost identical. Even though they have around 65 seats available, be sure to wait a little bit if you come dine after 12:30 as there was a long line while we left. You order and pay ahead at the kiosk before being sitting at your very own tiny seating. When the shades open up, provide the server your ticket and your meal be be ready soon. Everything felt so fast and efficient, compared to the traditional sit down experience. No tipping required as they follow the Japan culture. The broth is super flavorful and pure liquid joy! Can’t go wrong dining here during the cold brutal winter months in NYC!

I have been to the original in Japan and this is spot on to what I had there! Rich, creamy broth with incredible noodles. You can build it how you like, adding in your favorite toppings and even order extra noodles right from your seat. The line was out the door but their system was so smooth we waited maybe 15 to 20 minutes (we were a larger group) after ordering. If you are in the area, definitely go! You won’t regret it!!

One of the BEST tasting ramen I’ve ever had! The experience was also unmatched, I loved the authentic solo dining experience I received here. You can remove the dividers if you are sitting next to someone though. Also worth the price- this bowl was $25 after tax. It was nice to customize your bowl to your liking (you can adjust the salt, garlic, onion, spice levels, etc). It was totally worth the 30 minute wait in the snow!

Came here with my friends just to quickly fill our stomachs after arriving from Philly without knowing how popular this place was. Quite literally we walked here perfectly right when it opened because we didn’t want to walk 18 minutes to eat ramen at another place. After eating here we understand why there was a whole line because it really didn’t disappoint! The broth was very light and not too salty like other ramen restaurants. The noodles were also made perfectly and reminded me of a comforting home cooked meal. I like how they only serve one type of ramen because it feels like they’ve perfected the entire bowl. Service was prompt and courteous and the atmosphere provided a lot of privacy between each guest/group.

Ichiran Ramen in New York is a must-try for any ramen lover! This iconic Japanese restaurant serves up rich, flavorful tonkotsu ramen in individual booths, creating a unique and immersive dining experience. The broth is rich and savory, with tender chashu pork and perfectly cooked noodles

Customers rave about the quality of the food, with many praising the authenticity and generosity of the portions. The service is also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who cater to dietary needs. Plus, the no-tipping policy is a welcome surprise, making the experience even more enjoyable

Some popular menu items include the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen, Ichiran Veggie Ramen, and Premium Yakibuta. Be sure to customize your bowl with extra toppings like soft-boiled eggs, mushrooms, and scallions.

While some reviewers noted that the prices are a bit steep (around $30-$35 per bowl), most agree that the quality and experience are well worth it. Just be prepared for a wait, especially during peak hours

Overall, Ichiran Ramen is a standout destination for ramen enthusiasts and anyone looking for a unique dining experience in New York.

Great place to enjoy some Ramen in ur own booth. Unique experience, come when they open and the line is not long. The noodles are very tasty and the soup is great for a cold day. They limit you to only one bowl of noodles, but you can order extra noodles and sizes while you’re in the booth. There’s places to hang your jacket behind you or underneath the table. You self serve your water. The place is convenient located in downtown New York and it’s worth going to.

ICHIRAN Ramen Times Square is an authentic ramen experience done right . The rich, silky tonkotsu broth and perfectly textured noodles are outstanding, but what really sets it apart is the traditional Japanese-style solo seating, designed for total focus on the food. Private booths, minimal distractions, and customizable ramen make it unique and memorable. Busy and a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it for true ramen lovers.
