I love the Ice Cream Factory. It reminds me of the ice cream I would have had in Jamaica as a child growing up. The flavors are delicious.
They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors that are always fresh and tasty.
They make shakes from the ice cream on the spot with whatever flavor you want. My husband’s always gets a milkshake when we go there. I love the rum and raisin flavor in milkshake it’s so yummy. They have different sizes of ice cream in different flavors in the fridge, ready to go. They have quart, gallon, etc..
They also sell other Jamaican goodies like grater cake, peanut drops, and much more. They also sell patties that are delicious. They also sell different type of cakes that are cut and packaged in to go containers. They also have a juice bar inside the store. They serve fresh juice that are made on the spot from fresh fruits and veggies.
If you are in the area, go check them out. You won’t regret it.

I love this business. The “Ice Cream Factory” is great for green juice, protein shakes, ice cream and more. It’s like a home away from home, very friendly staff, very lively and warm. The options for ice cream are so rich and tasty. If you are person from the Caribbean / West Indies, the flavorful tasty combination of ice cream will win your hearts. Grape Nut, Pistachios, Rum Raisin, Egg Nog, ohhh my gosh… you will want to come back every week.
For the Smoothies and Protein Shake, it’s so amazing. Natural energy, refreshing and great ingredients, I might have to come back every week. The prices are not bad, for the value you get, you appreciate the quality more and more.

I’m so happy I found this place. It was my mother’s birthday and I decided to bring her some ice cream from the ICF. I was td that their ice cream is very close, if not better than Devon House in JA. I knew my mom would enjoy every bit.
I got fresh, hand-packed pints. Rum raisin/grapenut, Jamaican rum cake and Stout. I didn’t care much for the stout but the rum raisin grapenut was soooo good! I am definitely heading back there. I really want to try their pralines and cream, one of my fave ice cream flavors.

I just had the cheapest tasting icecream….grapenut. It was so light and airy, absolutely no flavor. Im so sorry I never went to Carvel’s. So dissapointing, whats going on? Cheap ingredients? Cutting corners?

I’ve been going here for the last 6 years and this past summer, I realized the ice cream has been tasting different. I’m not sure what they did with the recipe.But it’s definitely been changed when I’m choosing baskin robins over ice cream factory that says a lot. It now tastes like I’m eating flavorless Grapenut ice cream. It seems as if they switched from cream or maybe a heavy base to whole milk or skim milk.It just lacks flavor it lacks the fats that used to give it texture and body to something like cheap ice cream. I’m really sad just because I don’t know what they did with the recipes especially the great nut.It tastes like garbage.Hopefully they go back to the original recipe and they can’t tell me otherwise i’ve literally been eating the same ice cream for the last six year. stop being cheap especially when you raise the prices. I don’t mind paying the good money for good ice cream but not good money for cheap ice cream..

I don’t typically eat ice cream in America due to having unfavorable experiences after eating ice cream when I was much younger. On June 9, 2025, I entered a restaurant and observed that the establishment had a freezer filled with Ice Cream Factory products. I decided I would enjoy the Caribbean flavor ice cream under the guise that it was authentic and healthy ingredients. Since I really enjoyed ice cream in the Caribbean I knew I would give the Jamaican Rum Raisin a try. I planned my evening to include my rum raisin ice cream. I joyfully indulged in two tablespoons. As I lifted the third spoonful I began reading the nutritional facts and ingredients. I observed the ice cream has an additive known as carrageenan which is often used as an emulsifier to stabilize the ice cream. However, the ingredient is a known carcinogenic. This particularly product does not specify whether the ingredient is food grade or degraded carrageenan. It would be helpful to specify the molecular weight of the carrageenan to allow buyers to make an informed decision. Because of my degree of discomfort with the ingredients in this product, including but not limited to the carrageenan, I discarded the ice cream after eating three tablespoons.

I was told about this location that they have great caribbean flavor ice cream so I had sort of a high expectation. I live in NJ and I havent found anywhere there that have caribbean flavored ice cream so I gave this store a try. its located in mount Vernon ny. I purchased 5 different flavors to try out. my wife and I gave them a try and the ice cream was ok. I’m used to rum raisin to have that slight rum soaked raisins in it and these weren’t very bland just ice cream and raisin was very disappointed on that. Grapenut was ok. I will return to give the store a try again I notice they carry BELGIAN WAFFLES with ice cream toppings and freshly squeeze fruit juices. Customer service was great very friendly individuals and the store carry pastries and other product from the Caribbean checking out for yourselves.

Although there is no place to sit down and enjoy your ice cream this place still gets a solid 5 star. The icecream is the best I’ve ever had. Usually there is a line but the service is so fast you don’t even realize. My fav from here would have to be the vanilla. I say that because there are several options on the menu that have it ( rumraisin, cookie dough, cookie and cream etc ). Inside they also have a juice bar that is very delicious. I frequent whenever I am in town.

I actually never been here before and I found that it was very refreshing. I have been looking for a smoothie place. The smoothie bar barista TT was very nice and gave the perfect suggestion when I told her what i liked. The small smoothies are 7 and completely worth it. The fruits and veggies are fresh. it was very nice.i think they are the best smoothies spot in Mount Vernon
