The biryani this time was good but the Chicken Tandoori Wings I got on Friday evening were completely disappointing. They were raw inside, not just undercooked. I’ve ordered these wings many times before and never had this problem, so this was really shocking and ruined the meal.
I’m sharing this only so the kitchen can be a bit more careful and checks their food quality before sending out orders.
Atmosphere was noisy due to the TV being on and it’s a smaller dinning room.
The reason for 2 stars
above each of the tables along the wall they had these lights hanging right above you and they put out heat, I felt like I was under a heat lap and sweating…before the food came out. Not needed.
Service was fine nothing bad or good just the bare minimum.
Food was the star of the show. The garlic nan was good and first time I had it crispy, it was thin but wonderful. I was hoping to have beef or pork vindaloo. I’m not a fan of goat or lamb. As vindaloo is very flavorful and robust.
Definitely recommend it!!!
We tried the Mirchi Bajji, Masakali Biryani, Badam Milk, and Chikoo Shake.
Mirchi Bajji was good and spicy, and we loved that they customized it for us in true Andhra style. Masakali Biryani was tasty and flavorful but felt too oily, even though we had requested less oil. Badam Milk and Chikoo Shake were both good and refreshing.
The service was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated the effort they put into accommodating our preferences.
The overall quality didn’t reflect the standard I’m used to from this place. but it was underwhelming enough to leave me dissatisfied.
But, It would be better if they avoid serving hot foods in plastic containers
The food was a highlight, with some dishes standing out from the rest. The chicken and veg dum biryani was amazing, with flavorful rice and tender meat. The butter chicken was also a winner, with a rich and creamy sauce. And the gongura chicken was a surprise hit, with a unique and tangy flavor.
However, not all dishes were equally impressive. The poori chole was average, lacking a bit of spice and flavor. And the mirchi bhaji and dahi puri were below average, with a strange texture and flavor that didn’t quite work.
Overall, I’d give Hyderabad Cafe 3 out of 5 stars. While they excelled in some areas, there was room for improvement in others. Still, I’d recommend it for the ambience and friendly staff alone – and of course, for those standout dishes!
My partner got the 65 Biryani, it’s an incredible layering of chicken, rice, and onions. The colors and flavors are incredible!
If you like flavorful food at a great price point make a trip!
