This has been our go to Restaurant in Canly Heights for the last few year’s, And has the best Tea,
Although our last few visits, the food seems to have dropped slightly, It is still some great tucker.
I love the tea here But last time I couldn’t drink it as the tea pot is filthy Not only does the stainless steel have old greasy finger prints all over the outside, Where the tea is poured from is grotty, When my husband was puring the tea, There was a flappy brown build up flowing in the stream of tea, I don’t know how to explain it properly.
Other than that We love this place,
Customer service is 99% fantastic

Tried this place today and honestly… I didn’t taste the love in the food. Everything felt a bit rushed. The Bún Măng Gỏi Vịt soup was especially bland, I had to add a lot of extra sauce just to pull any flavour out of it. The vermicelli plates looked great, but the taste didn’t match the appearance.

On the positive side, the staff were quick and friendly and the atmosphere is simple but nice. The pricing is reasonable.

Overall I was expecting better. A little more care and depth of flavour in the dishes would go a long way.

A reliable spot for a quick, clean, and affordable Northern Vietnamese meal. Their specialty snails and spring rolls are top tier, and the chicken based soups are a definite highlight.
While the portions have shrunk over the past year and the Pho is just “okay,” it’s still a satisfying feed. One minor letdown: the Maryland chicken is often served cold with jelly forming, it would be much better if it were warmed up. Overall, still a solid choice for a fast, decent soup.

During my 3 months long trip in Australia, I really wanted to try this place out and doing the food challenge here!!

Sadly I didn’t manage to finish in 13 min but I still are all of the 2.5 kg food because it was sooooo good!!!

The staff and especially the manager were so heartwarming and friendly!! I really enjoyed my evening there and if I am ever back in Sydney, I will definitely go back there!

Besides the staff being super friendly, the food was amazing aswell! Even after 2.5 kg of food, I still enjoyed some fresh springrolls that were also amazing!

The beef, broth, noodles and veggies were all super delicious, fresh and made with love!

Thanks to everyone at Huong Xua for the amazing evening and incredible food!!!

My go to vietnamese restaurant after many years since the food challenge days. There is a lot of competition for best food in this region of sydney but overall for flavour, heat of the broth, serving portion and also the best for parking ease and service. I see people eating here from all over sydney including Camden and Dural. Warmly recommend Huong Xua for your weekly comfort Vietnamese food fix.

My family of four came here for breakfast today. The food was acceptable and reasonably priced, but the service we received from one staff member was very disappointing and unacceptable.

The male staff member with bleached blonde hair (I don’t know his name) showed a very unprofessional attitude. When we called him to take our order, he didn’t make eye contact even once and responded with one-word answers, without basic courtesy.

Later, when we tried to order drinks, he walked away before we even finished speaking. The restaurant was not busy at that time, so there was no excuse for such behavior. When I asked for a soft drink for my child, he simply asked ‘What drink?’ without any politeness. When I said ‘Coca-Cola,’ he replied bluntly with ‘One can?’ He never smiled and looked as if he didn’t even want to work there.

No matter how good the food may be, such poor customer service ruins the whole experience. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue, as good service is just as important as good food.

We decided to go for a drive in to Canley Heights having never been here before as we had heard that there was some pretty decent places to eat on the strip.

Having no prior knowledge of where we were going to eat we parked the car down one end of the street and started walking. It was about 11:30 on a Sunday morning and things were beginning to get busy in some of the restaurants so we picked the busiest restaurant on the street and grabbed ourselves one of the last tables available.

Tracking down our waiter we asked for some menus and water and got into picking what we were going to eat. The menu is huge so you might need a little time if it’s your first visit.

The food came out fast and like normal we completely and utterly over ordered as the portions are huge. The flavours hear a pretty good and the staff a pretty helpful and all in all we had a fantastic lunch.

Prices are also great with our lunch coming to just under $18 per head and we were absolutely full when we left. This is cheap and cheerful at it’s best.

Tonight we ate here. The score actually speaks volume. We have tried almost all Viet restaurants in the area. So far.. compared to multiple places we have tried out, although portion size is good, price also good, the dishes were, unfortunately, lack of flavour.
Some might disagree. But the food we ordered were not nice.
I ordered stir fry noodle w seafood. No taste whatsoever.. it was just so greasy, just not nice at all. We were so dissapointed. Should be quiet basic.

We also ordered the Ribs w Rice and the Pork wrapped in bettle leaves. Both were not as expected. The meats were tough, lack of flavors. The pork w bettle leave has a bit smelly. It was not good, from my POV.

We might be ordering the wrong things but when we go places, we try the basics. Unfortunately these were not good. Hence the score.

The old lady waitress was very careless. She served hot bolts but ignored we had kids sitting front of her.

Becareful when stepping in and out. Its steps. Not an accessible entrance.
Great tasting, very strange food just like we ordered ” egg noodle with chicken and innards ” and also “crab soup crab cake with noodle and sea snail.
And they have specials too. So lookout for the specials. Today we get the Spring roll for $6.
Clean toilets.
Staff understand English well.

All good experience
