UPDATE: Hungry Howies made this right. The problem was really the door dash driver who refused to take accountability for anything. I won’t use the delivery service as long as they’re using door dash but I will do carryout.
Ordered a pizza at 7:44pm(it’s now 9:12pm). Website said it it’d be here in 40 minutes. It’s now almost been an hour and a half. I called after 1hr15min and it HADN’T EVEN LEFT THE STORE YET but the tracker said it’d been on the road for 20 mins . This kinda stuff happens all time since you guys are using door dash. I’m done ordering delivery from you guys. Plus I left a 20% tip when placed the order online.
After an additional 25 minutes, my pizza finally arrived. Barely warm, missing my 2 liter and a door dash driver with a bad attitude and a bunch of finger pointing at the restaurant. I was told by the driver “you must not be from Mobile” my response was “i’ve lived here my whole 44 years.” HIS RESPONSE? “well then you should know we dont have good pizza places here” WHAT!? Who does that?
I called the store and let them know. I was given the door dash number to ask for a full refund. Here’s the problem. I ordered through the HH website and NOT door dash so doordash told me I needed to call the store back to get the refund and doordash would refund the store back. So I did. I was told by a very polite employee that they could not process refunds tonight that I would need to call back tomorrow between 11am and 3pm. So I guess I have 1 more phone call to make. Absolutely ridiculous.

We were served moldy pizza from this location. Absolutely disgusting – will be notifying the health department and corporate.
Update: I called the number below on 6/16 and spoke to their feedback line. They said someone from this location would reach out to me within 2-3 days to discuss a refund. It is now 6/22 and no one has attempted to contact me. Obviously they don’t care, and I’ll have to reach out to my bank to handle the refund. The owner of this franchise should be ashamed, and corporate should take action. They give the entire brand a bad name. This experience has ensured I will never dine at a Howie’s again. I also filled out their online feedback form, but those apparently don’t work at all. For all their talk about their standards, their actions are showing what their standards really are.

The young girl at the counter is very nonchalant and not friendly. Acts as if she doesnt want to be there. She treated me as if I was a bother to her for asking for my debts card receipt as well as extra sub sauce which I didn’t mind paying extra for. Customer service could be a better

I ordered a pizza at 6:45 pm and did not receive it until after 9pm. After delivery fee and tip, the total was 40 bucks. When it finally arrived, it had been sitting in an oven so long the cheese was shriveled and pizza looked terrible. I live three blocks behind the store. It should have never taken over 2 hours to get to my house. The pizza was done and “on the road” after 40 minutes. I called an hour and a half into waiting and they told me it was on the road. I called at the 2 hour mark and they told me the same thing. I’m willing to bet it wasn’t on the road though. It sat in that little oven behind the counter for an hour and a half because they don’t want to hire enough delivery drivers and outsource to DoorDash. The funny thing is though, after I called the second time, it arrived, and was delivered by a hungry howies driver. So I’m thinking they got tired of me calling and just decided to finally deliver it. Complete garbage all the way around. I’ve also filed two complaints with corporate. And this store refuses to follow up with me to make it right.

I ordered a cheesy bread and Italian sub. When I open the box of cheesy bread it was not cut into pieces,it had big bubbles in it and it was burned. I tried to eat it but I couldn’t so I threw it away. I am very disappointed but not surprised that happened.

Online ordering process was straightforward and clean. No problems. Ensures the order goes in EXACTLY as I want. Delivery was a little slow but understandable given the weather. Driver was courteous and knew exactly where we were in the hotel (I watched him drive in). Pizza was of good quality, tasty, and hot. Salad was crisp and cold, obviously kept separate from the pizza during transport. Only one small oops, no mushrooms on the pizza. Good experience for out-of-towners!

Order did not come with what it supposed to be. they forgot my soda. Boneless wings just like McDonald chicken nugget. Sauce is all over the box, very messy. Pizza were not in a round shape when we opened the box. Overall not recommended.
