We weren’t expecting much but we’re delighted we decided to eat here. The food was better than most plate lunches we have had on our many trips to multiple islands. Get the sampler which doesn’t lie, it was more than enough for 2 people with leftovers. We were told it was eastern Oahu style cooking. The only complain I have is they serve Mexican lagers instead of something from one of the many Hawaiian breweries. But, you’d go here to eat and not drink.

Dumplings and spam were tasty and filling. Went during coachella season so definitely timed our dining experience right. The waiter was super busy, so he was accommodating as can be. Food was incredible. Waiter was awesome, albeit is bit reserved to cater to this audience. Nonetheless, he did his job and made sure that I was always taken care of (eventually the dude smiled and made small talk which is why I boosted the service rating to 4.

I haven’t had this great of traditional Hawaiian food since I spent 4 months on Oahu. Don’t wast your time with ANY of the other Hawaiian food spots. Hula’s takes the cake and has amazing cake too. I would give it six stars if this damn app let me.

My family and l came down to Palm Desert. We saw Hula’s stop to have lunch. I must say the food is wonderful here. To top it off, my kids are picky eaters, but I didn’t hear a peep from the. They were too busy eating wonderful food. Luke, the manager, was an awesome host he gave it good hospitality. Will we ever come back most definitely.
