We had an absolutely awesome time having dinner here! After dinner we went upstairs to their really cool lounge area with live music. I would really love to come back here again! The chicken sandwich was delicious as was the burger!

Beautiful oysters to start my meal there. There is a Seasonal menu change and a favorite chicken sandwich is back on the menu. I think the African Carrots are great. Love the Shrimp etoufee. Hugo’s burger is best in town. Had a great dirty martini!!!

Good food, the oysters were a bit small (2 half dollars) in size for $20 per 6. Good draft list and cocktail menu. Service was absolutely terrible, we were skipped by the server and sat without being greeted for about 10 minutes on the deck, forgot 2 of the items I ordered, and we sat with empty plates for 15 minutes until we were even met with service for the check. Great restaurant very nice atmosphere and the food was tasty but you would expect a more curated service experience. Fries were super good though.

UPDATE: Went back a couple weeks ago and had the fish and chips again. Very disappointed – much smaller portion and was mostly greasy fries. I don’t understand how inconsistent they can be.

Service was excellent, our waitress was like a friend and everything came out on time. Food was delicious. Happy that dishes were not over salted like a lot of local fare. We had the fish n chips…was super delicious! flaky, soft, sweet and delicious! And the Prime Dip also yummy! Drinks were good but really strong – which some may appreciate.

First time visit. Very nice atmosphere. A bit noisy. Waitress was very good and very efficient We had the spring roll for appetizer. And the special pan roasted grouper and the la Belle farm duck breast. All excellent. A must when in Montpelier Vt. Will definitely be back.

This place is great. While we were here too early in the season, the deck looks like a lovely way to while away an evening. We stopped in coming from Massachusetts, headed to Montreal. The fries, fried deviled egg, and Cesar salad were the perfect pit stop. The brick interior is spectacular, service was amazing, and the “Italian Sunrise” the bar tender created is perfect. Highly recommended.

This place is great. I try to hit their oyster happy hour on the regular. So fresh!
My favorite main dish currently is their steak frites(opt for the truffle fries!)
Good food, good folks, good music!

Yhey just open in February of 2022. The food was amazing, our waiter was so kind. Oyster were fresh, drinks were good we got spring rolls all veggie it did taste like a little too much traggon but over good with the chill sauce good. I got the special of the day which was chicken lo mein by far the best lo mein ever better than your Chinese restaurant. My partner had the hugo burger the best. The creme Brulee was delicious chocolate cake was good but half of it was enough lots of chocolate so if your not a chocolate fan i wouldnt recommend it, but was delicious if they had tea or coffee to go with it I still would come back here it was all good.

Very exciting to have another chill spot in Montpelier! The atmosphere of this gem is great. In the dining room it was quiet enough to connect with a friend, while still being so fun. The downstairs bar area is very cool with a laid back, fun vibe. The food was also great – the grilled cheese was quite unique and the salad is exactly what you’d want. Our waiter, Andrew, said it was his first shift – but he was so kind and informative. I’ll be back and I’d highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Caesar salad and fries were good, some of the stuff on the older menus looked so good hoping to see some of those again. I’m pescatarian so choices on this menu were limited.
