The food was really good and the restaurant owner and server were so kind!! We got recommended a lot of Hubei dishes: crayfish, eggplant and century egg, wuhan hot dry noodles, and more! All of it was so good! Would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking for authentic tasting Hubei cuisine.

The restaurant is very nice and clean however the service was very disappointing. We were sat down by a older woman who looked at us and asked us ice water and hot tea? But than never brought hot tea. We asked her what was popular and she stated a dish that was close to the Mongolian beef we had chosen but double the price, we kindly said no thank you.

Probably the only Hubei cuisine that I can find in Bay Area now. The lady who owns the place is super nice. Food is on the savory and oily side, but is authentic as it can be. Some dish can be a little on the pricey side, but overall it is good value! My personal favorites are doupi and cumin steak

I have no experience with Hubei food, but everything we ordered was excellent with great balanced flavors. Food tasted clean and was easy to digest too. Staff was very nice and attentive.

It’s tough to really find authentic Hubei food. But this place has it on the spot. I recommend the Wuhan Bean Skin (NOT what it sounds like, it’s sticky rice with tofu skin) and Dry Fried Whole Fish.

My first time trying food from the hubei province and really enjoyed all the things we got. I got the bean curd dumpling (pan fried crepe filled with sticky rice, meat and preserved vegetable) the eggplant fish with pine nuts (not eggplant – basically a deep fried fish covered in sweet and sour sauce) and the House special noodles (fresh noodles with a sauce made of peanut, vinegar, pickled long beans and green onions). The bean curd dumpling was really unique and delicious. The fish was fried perfectly (fresh oil, super hot so the fish was moist and not oily) and the sweet and sour sauce was good – well balanced, not too sweet – and the noodles had a great homey taste – like something a Chinese granny or mom would make. Service was super nice too!! Always a bonus for a Chinese restaurant.

I had a delicious Orange Chicken with Rice and a cold Tsingtao beer that was just the right temperature, all for a reasonable price. The service was fast and friendly. Many authentic dishes are served here.
