I found this place through social media and wow, what an amazing authentic hubei restaurant! The inside had very traditional Chinese decorations and seating arrangements. There were many tvs around the restaurant displaying Chinese music videos and news. I came here with my family and friends, one friends who is from Wuhan, so he ordered the food which was amazing! Also, the woman in charge was very inviting and can speak many Chinese dialects – Mandarin, Wuhanwua, and Cantonese! She was so sweet and our toddler loved her.

Fantastic food with warm service provided by the charming owner herself. The menu is extensive and includes staples of Hubei province. Each dish, especially the fish and prawns, got seals of approval from a Human native who accompanied me there.

Amazing authentic Hubei cuisine! Even better than the Hubei restaurants in China! Loved the garlic leeks and the pearl meatballs. And the dessert mung bean soup was amazing as well staff was so nice.

The food is really Hubei which reminds me hometown taste. The owner talked in Hankou accent about wuhan, lots of memories. Will come back soon.

It was my first time visiting here and I came with my friend. We both had the Wuhan noodles the lady working there recommended us, and it was so delicious! She was also very kind and helping with us and explained the way to eat it. The atmosphere was nice with a warm and family kind of feeling

What a great find! I came in for lunch by myself and had Wuhan hot noodles and Hot and Sour Lotus Roots. They were baby lotus roots that were so crisp, light and refreshing. I loved them and wish I could have them right now.

I had a wonderful experience at Hubei Restaurant. The hostess was incredibly warm-hearted, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The cuisine was authentically delicious, offering a true taste of Hubei’s culinary heritage. The dishes were well-prepared and bursting with flavor. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend this restaurant to locals looking for an authentic dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

I was glad to find a restaurant with hubei cuisine because this is my hometown flavor. But my feelings for the dishes here were mixed.
The food was authentic in the sense that they did taste a bit like what they should be. But in many other ways they were not authentic, or authentic enough.
The hot dry noodles were not the right noodles and the fermented beans and turnips didn’t quite taste like their authentic versions. Doupi looked exactly like what a doupi should be, but the taste only slightly resembles doupi. The lotus root soup was better than the hot dry noodles and doupi, but still mediocre. As for oudai, I guess they did their best, it’s just the oudai was not as tender. The beer duck was a bit too salty but otherwise good.

We’ve been here several times already and this is now our go-to restaurant for takeout food. The food is always good quality, fresh, and hot even after delivery several miles away.

Everything we have tried on the menu is excellent. If you’re not sure what to order, the cumin steak, lotus root, and Wuhan Hot/Cold Noodles are all good choices. Also the 汤圆 is not on the menu but is

The restaurant itself is open and welcoming. It gets busy during lunch but we have never had to wait for seating. Highly recommend.
