Stopped here at the suggestion of a local resident. Left disappointed. The food was “ok”, but not as flavorful as we had hoped. We got the waygu burger and the stuffed tomato The service was bad; the wait staff took forever to bring our orders and when it came time for the check, we had to stand up and get the attention of another wait staff person who said she would tell our server to ring us up. If “beach atmosphere” is suppose to equal laid back and very slow then this is the place to go;if you are in a hurry to get somewhere, might be best to skip.

Atmosphere is great. Food was really decent. Service was a bit lacking if you’re expecting 5-Star NYC attentiveness, but the kids who served our food were polite to us when they weren’t busy texting their friends and such. Overall we enjoyed the place and certainly plan to return. (BONUS: great ice cream spot)

We came in for dinner on a Monday night. They weren’t geared up like they would be for a weekend night. They were out of several menu items (chicken fingers, tortillas, BLTs). Food was mediocre at best. Fried pickles were delicious. Breading on wings was too thick and was cooked at too high a temp making it too crunchy. Grilled chicken salad missed the mark. Chicken was an overdone dry small portion with enough greens to be considered a side salad, not a $10 entree. You can go to a nearby steakhouse and get an incredible selection of salads for under $9.

Hu-B’s is a pretty unique spot for Lake Barkley. They’ve really built out a bar/restaurant area that the lakes area has been primed for. It pretty much feels like you’re in Florida when you are out on the deck by the marina. Great atmosphere.

We come here every year, and it’s always so good. This year we messed up our timing and shows up close to closing, and the waitress was so kind and wonderful. The food, as always, was so tasty. And we love the atmosphere with the turtles and lake right off of where we eat. We will continue coming back every time we come here! Definitely check them out.

We passed through here after visiting the area and playing golf near by, which was a beautiful course ( Mineral Mounds). Honestly, the service was good and the views were nice. The food though, basic and small. Again, the service and atmosphere were nice, but nothing special about the food to entice me back. Okay experience overall.

This place is pretty damned expensive. I’m assuming people who go there are paying for the atmosphere, which is very nice, but it’s certainly not for the food. $13 nets you a fresh from the freezer quarter pound burger and two sides. If you get slaw, it’s in a tiny cup. You can pay extra to get onion rings, which you get around 10 or so. That doesn’t include the drink, either. So, a quarter pounder with cheese, the two small sides, and a drink will run you much closer to the $20 mark than that $10 one.

Great spot on the lake. Good mixed drinks (no beer on draft) and good fried food. Great outdoor seating. The waitress gave our kids some old biscuits to feed the fish.

First time visitors. Great place for a lakeside bar/grill.

The food was overpriced for low quality. The only thing they offer on a Sunday is the buffet. They only had about 6 items on it. And not 1 time were 3 of those items not empty.
