I would not give one star, but I had to be able to leave review. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE SCACHATTA PIZZA! I ordered a sheet of 80 pieces for a party on Saturday. I picked it up at 8 AM and it was not ready when I got it to the party and started loading it onto trays. Guest started coming to me and saying hey this looks like mold. How embarrassing. I called all day Saturday and no one would answer the bakery phone. On Sunday I called again and got through to manager/owner He tried to tell me that this is not mold that it is shortening and flour that causes it to look like that when it bakes. My guest wouldn’t eat the pizza because they were afraid it was mold. It looks like mold you can be the judge for yourself here are pictures below I informed him of what was going on and I asked him for a refund he said he could give me a store credit. Why would I want a credit to a bakery that sells baked goods with mold on them and think it’s OK. Do not order from them use Alessi bakery I should’ve known and should’ve went there.

Great variety of pastries, cookies and cakes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We also tried the beef empanada and devil crab, they were very good. Breakfast sandwich was very good. Great Cafe con leche and the friendliness of the staff was the best part because it’s hard to get good service nowadays. I will definitely be back and recommend people to come check them out.

I’ve been looking for a decent old school bakery and decided to check out Housewife. I was highly impressed to say the least.

This place must have been taken over by a new group. Lots of latin options to choose from the ladies behind the counter are not very friendly. Luckily I speak spanish so She understood what I was saying. But the worst part was all my pastries were stale/old I threw them out when I got home.

Wonderful selection of American and Spanish pastries, cakes, and cookies. Beautiful occasional cakes for order. Also has some wrapped sandwiches like Cubans, Tuna and Egg as well as finger foods like croquettes, stuffed potatoes, and different kinds of empanadas. Clean, modern woods in indoor eating area. Prices are worth it with the quality, taste and size of the portions.

Absolute pure laziness and unprofessionalism. I like this place but terrible experience. I go in 3-4 hours before they close to get a breakfast sandwich. Lady asks me if I’m getting breakfast, and I said yes. After I sit there for 5 min deciding what to get she makes the excuse of sorry she can’t because she cleaned the grill and blah blah blah blah. Well why didn’t you say something in the beginning?? Makes me never wanna go back. No one told you to clean a grill and shut it down hours before you close.

I have been looking for a good cuban breakfast place due to my familiarity with South Florida cuban cuisine. Housewife Bakery & Cafe did not disappoint. Everything they had was exquisite and freshly made. Staff was very friendly and personable. This is definitely my new go to place for cuban breakfast. Also has a wide variety of desserts and baked goods that looked amazing. There will always be something new to try when I come back.

Got 2 brownies today. Wow, not like they used to be with the original owners. They were stale, and did not look at all like they used to. They had an after taste and we’re plain gross. Either they didn’t get the proper recipe with the purchase of the bakery or they just don’t care. The brownies I make with a box of Betty Crocker mix is better. I speak from my history of getting since I was a kid. About 50 years. I remember when they were .35 so however long ago that was.
