We are a barbecue company that caters to all needs, I’ve been building this company since 2010, its a very clean and fresh establishment. We use noting but high quality ingredients, we cater to all needs also all food restrictions, we do not turn down any business. House of barbecue takes pride in everything we put out if it isn’t to our standards then we adapt. Cooking is a passion that I have had since I was 8 years old, my first dish was beef pot roast I cooked with my grandfather whom was wheelchair bound, thinking I was just throwing things together in a pot turned out to be very desirable that my family enjoyed and brought the whole family together which brought me to where I am today. Let me please your pallet!

We came in for lunch at about 1pm on a rainy Saturday. The dining room was bright and warm and we liked sitting next to a window. Really comfortable chairs – not metal and no picnic tables! No loud music either. We ordered pork ribs and tips. The sides are generous. Chilled potato, salad it’s supposed to be chilled, yummy. Wonderful homemade greens, fantastic mac ‘n cheese, seasoned corn on the cob. Such a nice tidy plate. Also had Faygo pop – I forgot how good it is! Of course we ordered dessert to go: banana pudding cheese cake and key lime pie. Soooo good.

Been exploring new places to eat the last couple of weeks and heard about this gem.
This place has a very homey feeling vibe to it with all the staff laughing with each other and that carrying over into your experience there.
Our server was cracking jokes, offering suggestions, and being ontop of our experience.
This place only offers non alcoholic beverages, and faygo as their drink selection so be aware of that before going! Not that it’s a bad thing but wanted to make others aware before they try to pair some ribs and a cold beer.

Best BBQ ever! I had such a great first experience at House Of Barbecue tonight! I have been wanting to stop by for so long, and I’m so happy I finally did. We had the pulled pork sandwiches with mac & cheese, street corn, corn bread (topped with delicious melted butter) and can’t forget the Faygo. Everything about the experience was so great, the welcoming staff, spacious outdoor patio and our amazing waiter Omar. Omar went above and beyond for us, he checked on us many times with a smile, he informed us of the specials, dessert options, that everything was homemade and even cracked a few jokes. I will definitely be coming back to try their other items, it all sounded amazing. From lamb, to crab cakes they’ve got it all. Everything is homemade and fresh, which is hard to find at restaurants nowadays. It was like a fine dining but felt warm and comforting. Definitely check out this place and support local businesses!

Extremely good food. The chef knows everything about grill and smoking meats and vegetables. I took the giant beef rib, and it was just incredible. Burgers are gigantic, and the sides are tasty, too. This is a far better place than the regular, almost fast food bbq chains that we all know. 2 thumbs up! The terrace is great, too, but the furniture needs an upgrade. This is the only improvement idea I could see.

Keeps getting better and better! Been there twice in a week. Chef Collier is a genius. Great lamb, turkey and brisket too !
Fantastic barbecue! An acquaintance of mine from the south who more often than not was rather insincere and was was sweet as a vat of aspartame once said: “you folks in Detroit rave over barbecue places which we in the South would not even step into.” He was right then and he’s right now. But House of Barbecue is a very serious place and the owner who is from Houston has crafted a menu that takes barbecue into the 22st century and out of the category of expensive fast food. The pulled pork, ribs and sides were fantastic. Nothing was over saturated with smoke flavor. Everything was just right. Now I better find some creative ways of smoking off those calories!

House of Barbecue: A homestyle hidden gem. We ordered the barbecue smoked chicken breast with the famous mac n cheese and coleslaw. First bite and you could tell the chicken was smoked perfect, tender and so flavorful. We also got the shrimp skewers with their famous barbecue street corn and potato salad. Do not sleep on this street corn, it was incredible. Shrimp were delicious and all the sides were amazing. Both dinners came with a little crispy jalapeño corn bread which was a very tasty and appreciated extra. This restaurant is wonderful, staff are so kind and a great family atmosphere. House of barbecue knows their barbecue and doesn’t disappoint

June 15, 2025 Fathers Day 5:15pm reservation for 3.
Have to start by saying I feel sorry for the hostesses who must have got pulled into being a server. Big party took up all the attention and put everything behind but with that being said she did the best she could but it didn’t help when it took 1:35 to get our order of a Rib dinner (1 giant rib bone), baked beans and forgot my potato salad until she brought out the bill, wedge salad and a order of poutine fries.
Had to ask for menus, ask for drinks, and again ask after 1:30 where our food was.
She kept apologizing and comped us a dessert but after almost 2 hours it was not a good experience.
She did her best even on a holiday but they should have turned away people being they didn’t have the staff.
Heard great things and the reviews are good but our experience was not a good one.
Good food but way overpriced. $38 for 1 giant rib?!!?
Hard pass

I’m no crazy foodie but this is the best barbecue I’ve ever had. I ordered beef rib (picture) and my friend got the ribeye. I got the pecan pie for dessert too (pictured). Everything was delicious. Meat was falling off the bone tender. The corn is out of this world. My friend who is self proclaimed “not a corn person” loved the corn too. Service was excellent. The patio is a relaxing atmosphere on a warm evening.

This is a small restaurant on the west side of Main Street south of 14 mile Rd. It has a large patio and a well appointed interior. The real surprise though is the menu! This is not your average barbecue! It is really upscale that hits all palates. They have an amazing spin on barbecue. I had a wedge salad with Candy bacon and blue cheese, Jerk chicken (better than Jamaica!), BBQ street corn, vegan baked beans. Please do yourself and come here! Don’t miss it!
