The food here is really good! The side dishes are great, they come on a large tray with lots of variety, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back.

Worst Korean Food I’ve had in a while. We ordered Jokbal, soft spicy tofu soup, spicy pork and spicy squid. Tofu soup had not much flavor and had way too much egg. I don’t understand how this place makes such a bad soup when instant soups at the market taste better than here. Spicy squid was super over cooked and it was hard to chew with nasty flavor. Spicy pork was only acceptable but it was not good. Missing bunch of flavors again. I think chef just cooks pork with gochujang and soy sauce and nothing. Meat doesn’t seem like it’s marinated well at all. Food is literally 1/10. I would prefer fast food or instant food over this disgusting restaurant. We haven’t been to this restaurant since 2016. Owner has sold the restaurant to someone who really can’t cook Korean food. Kimchi was the worst kimchi I had in my whole life. Even Costco or Safeway kimchi is better than this place. Even though there were many side dishes everything tasted like trash. I think I can cook better with my feet than this chef at this terrible restaurant. DO NOT GO HERE! You will regret and waste your money. Waiters are nice but food is so bad that it can’t make it up by ok service.

We’ve coming here for over the last couple of decades and through different ownerships. The soondubu is still very tasty and comforting and they still offer a variety of banchan. The handsome young waiter was really nice and professional too.

The food is so good. Fresh and delicious. The service goes above and beyond. Parking can be tricky if you come in from the front but if you go around behind the building there is ample parking.
I highly recommend the 3 fish and the kimchi pork with tofu!

Delicious every day of the week. Seriously, I could eat here every single day of the week and be perfectly happy. Everything is consistently delicious. I’ve had the bibimbap and the tofu soup, and both are absolutely incredible. The flavors are so authentic and satisfying. If only I had two stomachs, I’d order both every single time – they’re that good!

Service is also very good. Only downside is, they limit the number of small dish refills to just once, for 5 dishes. It’s really a bummer, since each of their side dishes are so amazing. I do wish they increased that limit.

If I had only two meals in Edmonds, I would eat at Hosoonyi twice. If I had three meals? Well… I might decide to branch out at that point 😛

Omg so delicious! We did the Galbi and Kimchi Jigae soup. The bonchon was so fun too! Fast service and fair pricing for what you get. Very cozy restaurant tucked away in Edmonds.

A nice Korean restaurant! We have 6 people and ordered 5 dishes. The portion is more than enough.
Recommend their Ginseng chicken soup. It’s very delicious. I feel 4-6 people can share one. Their trotter is okay, but I’m not a fan of the lettuce. Ohjinguhbohk is spicy but it’s also great. Japchae is a little greasy for me, and the portion is super huge They have a variety of small dishes, enjoy!

Perfectly okay Korean restaurant. Amongst all the dishes I ordered what stands out most is Grilled mackerels. They serve 3 pieces instead of usual two and looks like there were pan fried which is hard to replicate at home. They serve tons of banchans but in my opinion it is a waste and they should just focus on a few good banchans.

This place is SO good! I was really shocked at how delicious the spicy kalbi was. It wasn’t spicy but was fried in this incredible sweet and salty mild sauce. The char and smoke to it reminded me of LA ktown food, something I rarely ever find in Seattle. They also provide a ton of banchan. I highly recommend the seafood pancake!! Was very crispy.

It’s such a nice local joint. It’s nice to see families and locals eating there on a Saturday morning.

I do not order Tofu soups. Not really a fan. But boy am I glad that I did! Absolutely delicious, full of flavor and not crazy spicy. Goes so well with rice. We also ordered the seafood pancake, which had perfect crunch. Try to order a combo with spicy pork, you will not regret it. The only issue we had was with the Jap-Chae. The meat was a little too hard to chew. Other than that everything was amazing. I would say, best Korean food I had so far. I don’t want to take a star out for the japchae because the rest the food really pulled through.
They have lots of space and reservations areas as well. Will come here again for sure.
