Hope Valley Bar and Grill was open when everything else around wasn’t. Basic bar menu with a few desserts. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We had buffalo chicken wraps with fries. Decent serving size, and a slice each of apple and peach pie. Dove into the pies before we got a pictures. Oh, well. As you can see, we finished them off.

The food was excellent, the vibe was chill, and the people were friendly. Came down from a weekend of camping at showers lake with our dogs and we were all craving a burger (and beers for the humans). HV Bar&Grill did not disappoint! The lone guy working was awesome and even made some pup pattys for our dogs, serving them cut up on a metal tray.

It was about 20 minutes of wait time before we got a table which was a bummer for a week day. But everything else was nice. Comfortable seating, friendly staff, food good and atmosphere cozy. It’s beautiful to come to this area in October. The aspens are a vivid yellow.

Can’t say enough about this place. The owner was so nice! I had the special and it was great! Good wine. My son loved the selection of beer. Roomy, clean, and service was great! A must stop over between Fresno and Mariposa!

First time here. Unfortunately, little was open other than the espresso stand and minimal snack bar. However, it exactly met my needs at the moment and the mocha was very good!

The pies are my favorite, but they have so much more(even ice & fishing supplies).

Nice, clean, friendly nook to grab a cold one and some wings. They sell car tire cables, at a reasonable price.

I used to love.this place. I haven’t been in town in years. I brought my friend here and was so excited to share it with her. The food is still pretty good, but the service I got last time was a joke. The woman “serving” us was so rude that my friend and I couldn’t stop laughing out of disbelief. $4 for the burnt heel of a loaf of sweet bread. I won’t be coming back.

So sad to see what has happened to one of my favorite spots in Hope Valley for over 20 years. The Hope Valley Cafe was one of the best bakery/sandwich shops. Yes, it was recently taken over but that’s no reason the “resort” can’t find a decent baker and gourmet sandwich chef. Even have a local area baker deliver. Today, I purchased a pumpkin scone which was very expensive so I thought it would be like it use to be, delicious. Not even close it was gross. It was like eating cooked bland dough, no flavor at all! No love into baking that, baked with hate even. Not anything close to what this place use to be like. We have given it a couple different try’s the last 12 months hoping it would get better after the pandemic. Nope. It’s like going into a deserted cave with no life. Very dark. There use to be a great store with local art, photography, groceries, seasonal items, fishing stuff, etc. Now it’s depressing, only ugly clothing that no one will buy. I guess the spirit of the place was the awesome baker that was there forever… The “pie lady of hope valley” is greatly missed. The lady that worked for her I believe has taken over and can’t bake and is rude and mean. We were surprised she was still there truthfully. it’s sad to see what has happened to such a great spot. I really hope Management reads this and wants to get it going again, locals can help! Lol I would even Manage it! just saying find someone that cares. You can tell it’s not cared for like it use to be. We won’t be going back until next year hopefully it’s better one day. Still hoping I guess. (Posting this review on other sites)
