Maybe it was at one point a winner of multiple dim sum awards, but it appears to be in its twilight era. Service was slow as two employees manned the whole restaurant. Missing from the dim sum experience were the old aunties pushing traditional carts throughout the restaurant hawking their dishes. In their place was a simple menu where we marked the items we wanted to eat. Food was good but nothing that rivaled some of the better dim sum places we’ve been to. On a separate note, there is a noticeable homeless population nearby that you will want to be aware of if you’re planning on walking to eat here.

I liked pan fried turnip cake and scallop dumpling with garlic sauce. Service was slow. I ordered Chrysanthemum tea, and it was not as my expect.

Great food. The dim sum is excellent with a lot of great options. Tons of good tea options as well. Good luck finding somewhere to park. They don’t have a parking lot and there are just a couple spots on the street.

What can I say, besides that I love this place, and always have! I’ve been coming here for the better part of 2 decades, and they are still the best dim sum in the valley. The regular menu items are consistently good, and the ever changing specials are always fantastic! Not to mention, the family/ staff who own and run this gem are so kind and friendly. Despite all of the growth around this part of the city, Hong Kong Tea House still stands and remains a jewel in our cities food scene.

Easily some of the best dim sum I’ve had, and some of the best Chinese food in Utah!

Good dim sum place but on Sunday they were very understaffed. They only had two servers for a busy restaurant day. Dim sum is served until 3 pm every day.

The best place for dim sum. Family style and child friendly. We have been going to this restaurant for two decades. The food has maintained its flavor, taste, and quality. The quantity is good. It’s a good place to meet friends, bring out of state family and enjoy the wonderful food. The staff are amazing, always smiling and welcoming. If you are looking to support women owned restaurant owners, then this is your perfect choice.

Best dim sum I’ve had in Utah. They have a good range of dishes on the menu. The Peking Duck was delicious and served in two courses. Lightly staffed, but quick to take your order. The sesame balls were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

Great quality dim sum- probably the best in Utah, although you might not be blown away if you’re from a big city. There was only one waitress for the whole place but she was steadfast and got the plates out quicker than we could finish them. The negative reviews seem to mention things like homelessness & no parking- its the West Quarter people. The restaurant didn’t do that.
